Christ’s atonement is completely ignored by the profession church. Why? because they want you to seek salvation not from Him but through them through tithes ( not mentioned in the NEW TESTAMENT ) and they want your “works” i. e. your attendance in their building that you are paying for along with their house and car with your non required “tithe” . Christ hated the Temple Tax. Real Matthew 17:24 when He went to Capernaum. ( easy read) Note that Jesus says the God does not tax his children. Then also note that Jesus was not crucified until on the Thursday before he was sacrifice he attacke the MONEY COLLECTORS in the Jerusalem Temple!! Do you know why they were hanging money? It was because the priests would not take the roman coin and required SILVER for what? The temple tax !! Jesus is our Savior.
I am intrigued by the book written by Bartholomew who was a disciple of Jesus and an actual eye witness to Him. This book was strangely left out of the “bible” when t was voted on at the council of Laodecea, 330 years after Christ resurrection. Why? anyway, he writes that Jesus descended into hell and taunted Satan but so what. That has nothing to do with salvation by grace and it could have been is a time segment we don’t fathom. There is no SUN time in eternity. There is only SON time. ( go ahead and use that if you are a professional leach off of “gifts to God”— I don;t care)
Thank you for this. As a child, I recited the Apostles Creed without really comparing it to scripture. Never before had I compared the “he descended into hell “ part with Jesus’ own words on the cross.
A great reminder to always, always compare what we are being taught with scripture.

so in the Old Testament we read:
Malachi 3:8-10 - Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Malachi 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].
Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
and in the NEW TESTAMENT we read:
Hebrews: 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
