Often people hurt us in many different ways. The Torah is requiring me to forgive them. why?
Why did Yosef Hatzadik was so quick to forgive his brothers?
Parashat Vayagash sounds like a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science. He’s from Tamil Nadu.
It’s a Torah portion. :)
Thanks - now I know!
It is written, “Curry favor with those who favor curry”.
“Get rid of the negativity in your life”
Hey, wait a minute. That’s negative in itself! Don’t boss me around.
The only thing I have left, I am to get rid of? I’d be left with nothing!
18. And when your people shall speak to you, saying; Will you not tell us what you mean by these:
19. Say to them, Thus says the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions, and will put them with him, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand:
20. And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes:
The two letters shaped like sticks i.e. tree branches (the ayin and the final tzaddik) join together as the word עץ.
עץ = stick = tree
the tree of Joseph + the tree of Judah
family tree reunification
Everybody has a mother and father. Rachel and Jacob's soul, joined through Moshiach David. Bethlehem is the house of bread, the bakery as it were. The man plants the seed and harvests the wheat, and the woman kneads the dough and bakes the bread.
Joseph haTzaddik through the mother + David haMelech through the father ----> just... wow.
Everybody is going to be forgiving everybody and weeping like there's no tomorrow. Well if they have a sense of humor, that is. One big family reunion with a fresh start. No hatred, grudges, or resentment, because it was all by Hashem.

"Hashem gives beautiful presents with horrible wrappings." ~ Rabbi Alon Anava
The big, glittery, empty land IS the horrible wrapping.
A lovely shiur. Thanks for the ping.
