“Pope Francis calls spreading fake news a sin”
In other words, he’s condemning ABC/CBS/NBC/NPR/PMSNBC?
Thanks for the tip. Time for some snowy day reading.
The ‘False Prophet’ is a sin also, Francis!!!
I am not a Catholic. My husband is a lapsed Catholic. That is the creepiest comparison.......eating scat.Really???? That dude is not right.
So all goverments sin. Tell us something we don’t know.
Thanks, Francis.
I see what you did there.
To which part of the Curia should I apply for a new keyboard?
Right - “fake” = anything he disagrees with.
It’s okay though - I’ll just go to confession and it’ll all be good. :)
That is not what he is doing. Yes lying is a sin. However, he is using the recent language of the left. The language that demonizes their demonizes, discredits and silences their critics. He is choosing a side in this war of words.
Fake “News” as in Purgatory Jorge?
Everyone should just cut to the chase and go directly to the Source of everything. . .including our next breath. . the Lord God Almighty through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This middle man the Pope is not necessary and just look what his actions are doing to Catholic believers. It is very sad.
Is creating a fake meme about “fake news” a sin as well?
Or is it only a fake sin?
#fakesins
my oh my but pope francis sure is becoming quite the politician these days-
I agree with you. I don’t need the Pope. However, it cannot be ignored that the Pope is a very influential man; it could be used for good or bad. I think he is more worried about Worldly concerns and not Eternal concerns. Some of the stuff he says, sound like they come from a person who never goes to Church or reads the Bible.
Well what he said is true, trouble is Francis acts more like a politician advancing an unpopular hidden agenda than the holy man he should be.
He squandered any holy capital away.
OMG...can this Satan-loving Jesuit be any more of an Illuminati tool? Will he defend Ping Pong Pizza next?
Really? The Right has done a good job of co-opting the term then.
I don’t see “fake news” as the same thing as “disinformation.” I suppose it depends on the intelligence level of the consumer. That Washington State elector who has said she won’t vote for Trump (Duh! She is a Democrat elector) is “fake news.”
“Disinformation” is much more sophisticated though.

Francis sure is....special.
The only people that hear using the term “fake news” is liberals.
