If President Obamas appearance at the Notre Dame commencement in 2009 sparked an unprecedented uproar among American Catholics, imagine what inviting President Trump to graduation might provoke That concern is making Notre Dames president, the Rev. John Jenkins, think twice about making a pitch for the incoming U.S. president to receive an honorary degree...spoke to the student newspaper December 2, 2016.

I know. He’s probably like “so” :D
Very true! Not being invited to speak at ND is now a badge of honor for anyone professing to be conservative. Complete sell outs like the rest of “academia”.
Trump should deliver a rip-roaring pro-life speech at exactly the same time as the pro-abortion speaker is speaking at Notre Dame. Or an hour before.
After notra dame actually invited - and gave a degree - to obama -——— it’s no honor to be asked to visit there anymore. (Just the contrary, actually.).
The students and faculty would probably use the event for some kind of protest to show their hostility to Trump. Maybe he can get an honorary degree from Hillsdale College instead...not far away from ND.
Wouldn’t be surprised if PRESIDENT TRUMP attends graduation services at LIBERTY UNIVERSITY or REGENT UNIVERSITY.
It wasn't Notre Dame - it was Georgetown.
It wasn't a crucifix, it was the "IHS" symbol of Jesus.
Jenkins had all that with Obama.
norte dame went with the Devil when it gave Clown prince nobama an honorary doctorate. Idiot administrators.
I was gonna’ say the same thing. Obama had all the religious crucifixes, statues, etc., covered, before he would speak. And dummy Notre Dame went along with it. No doubt if they were not covered, Obummer would have been struck with a bolt of lighting! IMO Notre Dame sucks.
