And this is a large part of the reason why I like and admire the Prince of Wales and have often found myself defending him here against people who have - in my view - unfortunately accepted the caricature of him that a left wing press often presents (because they love to caricature conservatives). He has been speaking out on the issue of the persecution of Christians in the Middle East for years now, in the face of a British government and establishment that really doesn’t want to acknowledge the issue.
Yes, he also has a few ideas that are staunchly non-conservative - in particular, some of his environmental ideas - but the reason you hear about them so much is largely because the media normally only reports the speeches they agree with.
