I disagree. If I know someone is buying a product from me to use specifically in an anti-Christian way I have the right to refuse to do business with them.

I’m not a baker but I wouldn’t sell a plain cake to someone if I knew it was for a homosexual marriage.

The claim of the bakers was that by providing a cake then they were somehow endorsing gay marriage. Regardless of what you call it, wouldn’t providing any cake still put them in their dilemma?

Don’t pressure people into instant martyrdom. Let them use tactics if they wish.

That way they force the Left to step so far over the line that their vile brutality becomes undeniable.

I’m happy for Christians to be as wise as serpents, and as innocent as doves. If God brings us to martyrdom, that is fair enough. But there might be hubris if we chose it for ourselves.

There may be readers of this thread who do not know why the fish was an early symbol of Christ and Christ ianity.

The phrase, 'Jesus Christ son of God savior of mankind' when written in Greek has the first letter of each word spelling the word 'fish' in Greek. The early Christians used the fish symbol as a code during great persecution.

BTW, Darwinism uses a turtle as their symbol, spelling I do not know what in what language ...

While I agree, in OR, the state took the bakers down with a $145,000 fine.

The government MADE it their business....IOW.

That stuff has to cease and cease now....

The way to slam these people is to use their own weapons against them.

Find gay bakers and ask for Trump cakes. Even though Trump is not anti-gay, he’s made out that way in the press.

No, never surrender. Freedom of expression is a natural right. The constitution limits the government in restricting those rights. Freedom of religion is not a right granted by the condition, but recognized and restricts the government from infringing on it.

No means no. Even liberals understand that.

This is the same dilemma that hotel owners have...only how can you tell if your guest couple is a married couple, or one in an adulterous affair?...for example

The abuse needs nipped in the bud... in the case of cakes there’ve already been attacks, and “price discrimination” would doubtlessly be attacked.

There is no price discrimination in a bid. It's based on many factors and not on a straight price list (or you can eliminate the price list), so there is no comparison.

Well intentioned, but naive. Doesn’t account for the Gaystapo’s depravity, much less their determination, to harass and humiliate Christians.

They’ve approached a Christian baker in my town and requested a cake decorated with two cream cheese phalluses on top, to represent the “husband” and “wife.” She was able to refuse—that time.

The annual Folsom Street Fair (look it up) in San Francisco sells Baby Jesus butt plugs.

Another effort to side step a direct confrontation on an important matter of principle. The *ONLY* correct answer is " I will not do it because I don't want to."

I don't quite agree. Some people have the time and energy to fight moral battles at various points in their lives, and I have done that when the time was right. There may be a lot of good reasons why you would not fight a battle, even when you are facing evil. In those cases, I dodge the battle. We are facing pure evil, and I will not take much time from my family to fight a battle where the odds are against me.

In Oregon, with that evil thug wielding so much power, Sweet Cakes had no chance of winning. They still did a lot of good by showing just how malignant and power hungry the totalitarian left is, but I would not have put my family through the hell they endured. They were part of the reason why the non-voting right showed up last Tuesday, and I am grateful to them for that. Still, they paid a very heavy price for their choice, even if it was a moral decision that they had a constitutional right to make.

A part of the proceeds from all cake sales are donated to the American Family Assoc, or Focus on the Family, etc.

A friend of mine has a very nice wedding facility. He has put Bible passages all over in non-removable ornate iron work.

Since there is a God, the sacrifice will be rewarded, to be sure on a schedule that may not be what we wish.

If Sweet Cakes comes back, it will likely be a darling of traditionalists in the area. They might even think of pushing the enterprise into franchising.

We are not to bless those who bring a different gospel(2 John 1:10). Those promoting homosexuality are bringing a different gospel.

Also if we approve of the sin (agree, promote) we are just as guilty as if we committed it (Romans 1:28-32)

Very much so. Most people I know are willing to support businesses who stand up for their beliefs over those who cave.
