I went through the list of the other republican candidates one by one with her and she agreed none of them would have done better than Trump.
And amazingly many of Mr Trump’s positions enjoy considerable support even in the most hard- leftist neighborhoods ( like the poll below which is in or adjacent to the Jackie Spier, Tom Lantos, Nancy Pelosi, barbara boxer, Dianne Feinstein etc etc community) — see for instance how “I hate Obamacare” is leading this ( active now) poll ( right side of page): www.smdailyjournal.com
'Nuff said.
Even if you can’t stand Trump, evangelicals, you can vote for Pence and you can vote for the best policies. Or you can take the high and mighty approach and help Hillary.
A vote for Trump may effectively be a vote for Pence because I don’t see Trump hanging around in the White House for more than a year or two.
...Churches would not be exempt from the impact of a liberal Supreme Court.....
They would not be exempt from Hillary either. She has already said that Christians MUST change their beliefs. I am beginning to think that 666 is the number of a woman.
Ugh. I wonder how much damage he's done.
I am forwarding this to all the holier-than-thou types who are too sanctimonious to vote for Trump.
Also, I’d like to add that regarding his previous indiscretions, I’m not convinced he’s still that same person anymore. Hillary however is absolutely unrepentant of her past.
[I thought it did a good job of addressing the Christian objections to voting for Trump.]
THIS ONE TELLS IT LIKE IT IS! Pass this to every NEVER TRUMP person you know, as well as your pastor and members in your church.
WHY EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD STAND UP AND VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP
http://constitution.com/every-christian-stand-vote-donald-trump/
Trump made this election about issues, immigration, border, ISIS, economy, taxes, and the military.
Clinton made this about Trump and character assassination like the left always does with the help of the media again.
I believe his intentions are good and I think he still has the Westpoint soldier heart of wanting to right great wrongs in a country he no longer recognizes especially after the enemy moved into the WH. I think he sees and understands the great danger we face in losing the great country he grew up in and is willing to take a stand to wipe the filth and corruption out by using common sense policies that the left would never adhere to because it created such wealth for them. Like it or not he has simple, no nonsense policies that I believe could work if he can get the public behind him and the few remaining politicians who feels the same way he does. As for me there is no doubt who is willing to roll up their sleeves and start leaning house while the other one intends to destroy us even further just for malice and a greed we could never understand.
Don’t particularly trust Trump on his announced policies, but the alternative is Hillary!.
Not really a hard choice there.
Very good strategy for communicating with the eternally confused.
All one has to do is watch Trump’s Gettysburg speech to realize that Trump is totally sincere in his love for and desire to make American great again. There is no valid reason to continue to dislike Trump. It is baffling that there are people out there (i.e., Glen Beck) who continue to not support Trump and thereby elect Hillary.
After all, all of us are sinners in one way or another, other than Our Lord Himself and He can’t be on the ticket.
Trump is Christian (Presbyterian) and does not smoke or drink.
Trump’s position on all the issues is exactly right. What’s not to like? (rhetorical - not directed at poster)
His declaration to repeal the Johnson amendment ALONE ought to bring Christians flocking in to vote for him with enthusiasm!
The anti-Trump reluctant hold outs defy logic and/or are holier than thou and we all know what Jesus said about casting the first stone ...
The leadership of the GOP didn't fight against Trump because he was the most unacceptable. They fought against him because they already had their chosen candidate, Jeb Bush. Then when that didn't pan out they supported Rubio. Then when that didn't happen they supported Kasich and even talked of Romney getting into the race or staging a coup at the convention. All four choices of the leadership were not conservatives. All four men would fold when faced with opposition on the Left. All four men attacked Trump harder than they would ever fight a Democrat opponent. The problem with Trump is that he was more conservative than the party elites. And he was an outsider. He wasn't a politician. He wasn't slick and smooth talking. Trump is a fighter who understands where we are in our nation's history. He is willing to call evil evil. He is willing to calling Hillary what she is. None of the Republican leadership is willing to do that. None of them are fighters (unless they are attacking conservatives). In fact, they are perfectly content to lose. And from the statements most have made, they would indeed rather have Hillary than Trump and will vote accordingly. Never mind the total destruction she would bring on the country. For those on the farther right of the political spectrum, the attitude was that Trump wasn't conservative enough. He was too moderate. So Trump got it from both sides. Meanwhile, it is ironic to me that people like this pastor are left with the impression that the leadership of the Republican Party is closer to them than Trump. What this election has accomplished more than anything is shine the light on the RINOs in the Republican leadership. And they are anything but conservative or Christian.
