Joining in prayer for the Trump/Pence team.
In tonight’s debate, may Mr. Trump be filled with Holy Spirit, given Wisdom and a calm spirit, granted a strong mind and gracious words.
May the traps and the snares of the enemy be thwarted. May all lies be revealed. May the hearts and minds of the people be open to receive the Truth.

Gracious and Almighty Father God,
We come before you as sinners, having done wrong in your sight by thought, word, deed and sins of omission. We confess this freely Lord, and ask your forgiveness as we repent of these ways and humbly know and are eternally grateful for the free gift of salvation brought by your own precious Son, Jesus Christ and what he did for us on the cross and in His powerful resurrection. Thank you Lord, you are our God, our Great I Am.
Lord, we know that this nation has not continued to revere you as in days past and that many have fallen away or do not know you. Father, You are fully aware of the schemes of our Ancient Foe and that he has hardened the hearts of many of these people that are in our government and caused them to sin for the love of power and money. Father God, we cry to you for help today. We need your help, O God, and we praise you for being the faithful, just, merciful and loving God that you are.
Lord, I lift up Mr. Trump to you tonight. Please be with him, calm and focus his thoughts Lord. Help him in his answers, give him strength that comes only from Jesus. Steady him Lord, and we also pray that the words of his opponent will bind her in the sight of those watching this debate. Confound any false words or obfuscations that she might employ, even as we pray for her salvation too Father, as we are called to love her as Lord Jesus does.
We thank you Lord for the blessings you give us and how good you have been to us. Help us Lord, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ boldly and in the opportunities that you give us to help more of your people to know Him.
