I’ve never understood the belief of a “rapture” type event.

The passages that people use as evidence can all be ascribed to happening on the day Jesus comes back, at the end of the tribulation. Not before.

All throughout the Bible believers are tested through horrible events, why would the tribulation be any different? Besides, if God comes and snatches up all the believers before the tribulation, who will be there in those last seven years to bring unbelievers to Him?

I used to believe that a Rapture type event was a sure thing, but that was before I learned to think for myself. It just doesn’t make sense.

Think for One’s self,,,Exactly!

Another analogy,,

Two siblings and one is
being cruel to the other.

Daddy walks in,,,
One child immediately is relieved,
The other is about to get his hide Tanned.

Same dynamics with Christ’s return.

The gospel is easily understood if simply read,Why should the “End Times” be the only part of scripture to be All Mystery,Codes and Deciphering?

That's because you are trusting in your own wisdom instead of God's...And, because you don't read or don't believe the scriptures...The scriptures tell us the Great Tribulation is a judgment on Israel's enemies, NOT his church...

Read Fruchtenbaum’s Footsteps of the Messiah.

It nicely summarizes many doctrinal positions describing pretrib premil eschatology.

Perhaps I can help out a bit...

Matthew 24:36-41

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

I used to believe that a Rapture type event was a sure thing, but that was before I learned to think for myself. It just doesn’t make sense.

Many things in Scripture make no sense to the natural mind.

Heck; lots of the bible still 'make no sense' to long time bible scholars as well!
