Deuteronomy 4:19 & Malachi 1:13 long predates the New Testament. Hostility toward other religions is NOT a Jewish concept, but for their national struggles against idolatry, and presently as then, for survival.

Saint Paul said that the concept of God becoming human in Christ was a kind of joke for the Greek philosophers who enjoyed playing with words, but for the Jews to whom God had revealed himself as singular and lofty, it was scandalous to the ultimate degree. The philosophers in Athens smirked, but the rabbis in Jerusalem beat their breasts in anguish.

Acts 17? 1 Cor 1? Not sure from where this particular accusation is derived.

The “Scandal of Particularity,” which has challenged theologians, is the fact that the immeasurable Creator of the Universe is concerned with the minutest details of his creation, to the extent that he both dwells in Eternity and also is born as a man in his own created time and space.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Wisdom of the world = the Messiah is a man-god
Foolishness of God = manna is "man-hu" ("what is it?") which is who (hu) he is, for "hu" is "he", which is hu-man. Just "what it is": bread from heaven packaged in a "Who's on first" joke.

The most unassuming, most humble man on the face of the earth is not God. That kind of obvious statement really irks people. Well no surprise, many people these days are scandalized when some normal-thinking human comes along and says that XX = girl and XY = boy, and that the whole concept of "transgender" is a delusion.
