Is the Jesus of Mormonism the Jesus of the Bible?

James White dialogs with Alma Allred.
James White is a Christian apologist and founded Alpha and Omega Ministries (http://www.aomin.org/).
Alma Allred is a Mormon apologist and an LDS Institute teacher (http://byteline.blogspot.com/).
This event took place on July 15, 2016. It was organized by Christ Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City (http://www.gospelutah.org/). A special thanks to Jason Wallace.
Well then Wendle; you managed to fool everyone who has replied to you. Well done.
HMMMmmm...
Some Mormons undoubtedly become Christians, and evidently leave the Mormon sect they were members of behind.
(Thanks to delacort for compiling this list)
I guess this answers my question as to whether you are an 'expert' on MormonISM.
AH... silence.
So much better to hear the crickets.
Its dangerous to try to say any one verse is the gospel, but if I had to pick just one it would be this:
In Revelation, Jesus tells the churches to “go back to your first love”, or go back to the basics in my words.
So with that in mind it leads one to the following question, assuming Jesus and his Apostles were preaching the “Good News” what was it? What is the core of the Good News?
What did John the Baptist preach?
What did Jesus preach?
What did the disciples preach?
What did the Apostles preach?
And what was the message of the OT prophets?
and now the big question. WHAT DO WE PREACH TODAY?
Hint: The message cost them a lot, it cannot be “soft pedaled” (a piano reference)
I recommend spending very little time on old testament except Leviticus. .
There is some indication he preferred Moses, the prophets and the Psalms?
Luk 24:44 Then He said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about Me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
You want to know Jesus, read the OT.
If you are not lds, then what church do you belong to?
OMG elsie . Get a grip,Honey. You are obsessed and we have a huge election here and you should be spending that confused energy on getting Donald John Trump elected over that criminal hillary. Drink something nice and warm and and take a nap — you will be fine.
WEENDLE is unable to discern because he/she has not been born from above, thus the Gospel of God’s Grace is unintelligible to him/her. You cannot expect the unregenerate to ‘get it’ that Mormonism is not Christianity.
Ravi Zacharias ... based out of Atlanta presently.
Are you confusing hearing with believing, faithing, as in a life faithing in Jesus as The One GOD sent for our salvation?
rLDS has the same fundamental belief as the biggy headquartered in SLC.
Well; they USED to be rLDS; now they are Community of Christ, known from 1872 to 2001 as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS)

Yes; I am.
Obsessed over the fact that Mormonism; in ANY form; is a Christian heresy.
No naps for me, as there will be tens of thousands of 'missionaries' out today, pounding on doors; trying to convince folks that Mormonism is true.
Stopping this LIE is MUCH more important than which person gets elected President.
Daniel 2:20-21
Daniel said, "Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. 21
"It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings;
He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.
Getting the correct view of Jesus
is more important than getting
the correct view of this 2016 election.
Sure!
But; if he ALSO 'believes' that HE must DO something else as well to be 'saved'; he's in deep theological trouble.
So; are we saved by Jesus or by JesusPLUS?
OTOH; can we find Jesus on our own; or do we need Mary to LEAD us to Him?
Are we saved by Grace and kept by Works?
We are saved by Grace, kept by the absolute surety of God’s Promise to those who believe in Whom God sent for their salvation. ... Recall Paul teaching on the Bema Seat of Christ, in Heaven, after the Rapture of His Bride from the Earth.
