On the June 23rd episode of The World Over With Raymond Arroyo, we witnessed one of the best (if not the best) discussions of papal impropriety in mainstream Catholic news. Again and again, Arroyo shows us that he gets it. And his guests (even with Robert Royals tendency to softpedal things) are right there with him.
If the video doesnt take you there directly, go to 27:46. Even if youre not a regular viewer of the show (or not a fan) this is definitely worth your time:

By their fruits you shall know them. Have you actually read what Charles Pope has said and written? Have you read what Pope Francis has said and written? Which fruit is good and which is rotten?
Ping.
I have read Ch Pope yes. And it is not anything to do with my point nor tge one you tried to make. He is certainly not more biblical than Cagholic. Try defending that assertion and do so without attacking me who has nothing to do with it.
Right on.
I believe that as well; when Benedict XVI was elected, Francis got the second highest number of votes - he represented the libs back then, and he still does now.
What I am trying to say is that there is very little of the Babylonian Mystery Religion Apostasy in his writings. The Catholic Church has maintained its teaching since before the Bible was compiled! In fact the teachings of the Catholic Church started about 2167 BC in Babylon!
Two key figures in the origin of Christmas are Nimrod, a great grandson of Noah, and his mother and wife, Semiramis, also known as Ishtar and Isis. Nimrod, known in Egypt as Osiris, was the founder of the first world empire at Babel, later known as Babylon (Genesis 10:8-12; 11:1-9). From ancient sources such as the “Epic of Gilgamesh” and records unearthed by archaeologists from long-ruined Mesopotamian and Egyptian cities, we can reconstruct subsequent events.
After Nimrod’s death (c. 2167 BC), Semiramis promoted the belief that he was a god. She claimed that she saw a full-grown evergreen tree spring out of the roots of a dead tree stump, symbolizing the springing forth of new life for Nimrod. On the anniversary of his birth, she said, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts under it. His birthday fell on the winter solstice at the end of December.
A few years later, Semiramis bore a son, Horus or Gilgamesh. She declared that she had been visited by the spirit of Nimrod, who left her pregnant with the boy. Horus, she maintained, was Nimrod reincarnated. With a father, mother, and son deified, a deceptive, perverted trinity was formed.
Semiramis and Horus were worshiped as “Madonna and child.” As the generations passed, they were worshiped under other names in different countries and languages. Many of these are recognizable: Fortuna and Jupiter in Rome; Aphrodite and Adonis in Greece; and Ashtoreth/Astarte and Molech/Baal in Canaan.

So when I say that Charles Pope is more Biblical than Catholic this is what I mean: He is one of the “Victors” that Jesus speaks about in His letters to the Churches.
These comments of Francis’s constitute one of the few times I have agreed with him. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. Even Catholic marriages are sometimes founded on a dependence on divorce if it doesn’t “work out.” The mention of the gown and the restaurant are spot-on.
Marriage is a vocation, just like the priesthood. It’s permanent. All Christian marriage should be the same. You have to be willing to live a celibate life if you end it. How many of those about to get married would agree with that?
I think he was right.
No, this was John XXIII and Paul VI. Remember, this was the whole point of Vatican II. Opening the windows, letting in the "fresh air" and all that jazz....
Or perhaps most cardinals are actually on board. The other few that might actually think this is heresy? They are just waiting it out until Francis dies (or resigns...funny, used to be we never used that as an option before Benedict) thinking everything will be a.o.k. when the next, new and improved (modernist) pope sits in the Chair.
I don’t understand why non catholics go on threads regarding the Pope...I don’t follow the beliefs of Mormons, Baptists, Judaism, Hindu...so, I could not care less about what their leaders have to say... it’s none of my business, or concern and a waste of time..
Horsefeathers.
Because the pope is the nominal religious leader of one billion people, a huge portion of the earth’s population. What he says affects them, so it affects everybody.
You don’t have to obey what he says but you can make your voice heard about whether it’s good for the planet.
The “falling away” happened in the 1rst and 2nd centuries.
What is now the RCC, claims that Linus was Pope after Peter. Peter was the head of the Church after Christ ascended, however after Peter was John the Revelator. John, an Apostle, was still on the earth when the people claimed Linus was the head of the Church. Linus was never an Apostle. The Lord’s own actions marked the one who truly had authority on the earth.
And to stress this point, while Linus was claiming to lead the Church, the Lord Himself, was talking to John face to face and showing him the future. And giving him instructions. The Lord never visited Linus nor any Pope ever. The Lord was instructing His prophet face to face as He has always done since Adam.
The prophet Amos said: Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
This is an eternal law. The Lord always chooses a prophet and gives them instructions for His people.
There were no prophets at Nicaea or at Trent. Nor any place in the RCC. Even though in Rev 11 John talks explicitly about prophets in the last days, the RCC has none.
Dan 2
44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
After the falling away the Lord talks about setting up a kingdom on the earth that will eventually consume all nations. The Lord’s true Church would be restored and nothing can destroy it. The prophesy of the “falling away” matches Daniel’s prophesy.
See, Linus wasn’t chosen by God, he was chosen by popular vote of the people. When the people chose Linus they, in fact, fell away and created their own church. This is why by the 3rd century the RCC didn’t resemble the original Church at all in structure or in deeds. It was a church created by men.
The vast majority of people won’t recognize the true Church of God for what it truly is, until the judgement. That’s a prophesy by Jesus Himself. Jesus said only a few would be saved.
Want another sign?
1 Tim 4:
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Paul gave a brief description of what he saw in vision of our time.
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats,
The entire leadership of the RCC refuses to marry, which according to Paul is a sign of the doctrines of the devil. Abstaining from meats is a break off of the RCC, the Seventh Day Adventists again -doctrines of the devil...
And now everyone is all shaken up over this Pope.... I don’t see why, it was prophesied about 2000 years ago. \shrug
At the 28 minute mark in the video play particular attention to Father Gerald Murray. He’s a Canon lawyer and you don’t get any better. He’s 100% traditional and calls out Francis every time he utters nonsense.
God Bless Raymond Arroyo.
