Glad you enjoyed it, Bipolar Bob!
The Pope in this cartoon was identified as Pope Alexander VI, so I looked him up to see what his historic significance was. Turns out he was the classic corrupt Renaissance pope.
He was born Rodrigo Borgia, from a luxury, power, and wealth-loving family: he himself was the epitome of those worldly qualities. His main faults were personal corruption, not theological error: he frankly was not all that interested in theology.
I'm not sure what grave doctrinal error he was planning to inflict on the Church just before his death, but I do know (by God's Providence!?) he died before he could pull it off.

"Pit hag" generally means a sorceress or devotee of an evil goddess; in general, a female inhabitant of hell. Very unfairly (only half-joking: devils are disproportionately portrayed as male. Why is that, anyway?) feminine icons of wickedness seem to be under-represented! But if there are female devils, they would also be called "Pit Hags".
They have unpleasant voices and sound like this: "SNARRRRRK! Snark-Snark-Snark-Snark!"

Just pointing out that, even today, some Catholics are slower to learn than others. Nothing contemptuous or scandalous in that.

I feel I'm in a difficult position because of my tiny role as editor of our parish newsletter. It's truly a makeshift and miniscule publication, and yet I feel obliged to cover church news as well as I can in very little space.
I'm betting half our parishioners have no idea whatsoever that there is any controversy about Amoris, and I've got to figure out how to shield "these little ones" from being unnecessarily scandalized, while at the same time communicate without freaking out that "Houston, we have a problem."

You don’t think “Houston” does have a problem?
NASA never hid their problem, why should you?

They did, but not in the way you chrstians imagine.
Bless me, please enlighten my poor misguided imagination.
They were supposed to bring mankind to observe the Seven Noachide Laws.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know . . . but "the bible" (ie, the "new testament") says such-and-such.
Imagine those awful Jews, tearing the "new testament" out of the Bible that had been there for a thousand years! Kinda like the mean Republicans opposing the "gay marriage" we've had since George Washington (if you see the analogy).

They were supposed to bring mankind to observe the Seven Noachide Laws. And why not the Ten Commandments? Those were wrote in stone. They were in the Ark of the Covenant. Why are they not applicable to all mankind? The Israelites were to be a kingdom of priests to all nations Exodus 19:6. What if the Ark with the stones were found today, do we scratch off some of them and say nevermind? What of the Ark in Heaven (Rev. 11:19)? Does it not contain the same? Are the Gentiles not to be grafted into the True Vine?

"You dont think Houston does have a problem?" Once again, "What??" Why do you say stuff like that? Of course I think there's a problem.
"NASA never hid their problem, why should you?"
I'm not.

You've already said you are not going to change your mind.
Although I do have one question:
Are you going to remain a Catholic AFTER death?

And they were called out for it by a Catholic: John. Is this the same John that was to take care of Mary?
