This explains so much, especially with Alice Von Hildebrand’s recent comments. I do suspect it is true. But unfortunately it is hearsay. That doesn’t mean it’s not true. Just that it does lack a certain authoritativeness. I would prefer to hear Benedict say it.

It has never made senses of me that the Blessed Mother would have wanted the version that was released to be kept secret for so long, or that the popes would have been reluctant to release it, if that’s all it said. Far more drastic things have been prophesied in other apparitions. What was revealed in 2000 was rather ho hum, in my opinion. Don Bosco prophesied far worse. And the apparitions of Our Lady of Good Success and Our Lady of Akita. And I don’t believe the pope in the version that was made public was JPII.

Francis the talking pope sure fits a lot of the criteria I might expect from a false pope, though I am hardly a theologian nor even a catholic having stopped the process of considering it given my disrespect for the current pope

I reckon I don’t buy this whole story, or this line of thought. What, Benedict is a complete stiff now or what? I thought he was the good living Pope or something? All the Popes before Benedict who knew about it were stiffs too?
