Priests and cardinals are the ultimate yes-men. They are sheep. If they ever had an original thought in their lives they have long forgotten it. The pope is the ultimate boss, and the troops have no say in anything.
Actually, a lot of diocesan priests, both in the English speaking world (mostly the US and England) and Spanish speaking world (particularly Spain and Mexico) have written articles or blog posts criticizing it. After all, they have to deal with its effects.
This is very brave of them, but frankly the pope and his cabal care as little about their opinion as they do about that of the laity.
We need at least one Cardinal to take the lead.
