I can only speak for myself, but when I was a Catholic, I had about an equal distrust for Jews, as I did for true Christians. I thought of the Jews as those who killed Christ, and I thought of the Christians as religious interlopers, out to disturb the religious peace, telling me I needed to be born again to get saved.
I am glad it finally sank into my thick skull, as the scales fell away from my eyes. Praise the Lord bro. It's not on me now. 😀😀😄

I condemn the antisemitism expressed in post 19 by your denominational colleague who wrote "Luther agitated against the demonic cult known as Judaism." It seems to me this antisemitism defines Lutheranism and s a testimony to the Jews watching this thread that reformed theology is fatally flawed, born on an antisemitic foundation that persists to this day.

Contrary to Lutheranism, Catholicism defines its relationship with the Jews and their faith in the Catechism as:

The relationship of the Church with the Jewish People.
