New Study: Increasing Number of Americans Consider Christianity "to be Extremist"
Catholic World Report ^ | 2/29/16 | Carl E. Olson

"The perception that the Christian faith is extreme," says Barna Group, "is now firmly entrenched among the nation's non-Christians."

I'm in the final stretch of completing this book, which I should have finished weeks (or months!) ago. And I have a number of things I plan to post about as soon as possible. But this bit of news from the Barna Group grapt aholt of me (that's a German phrase, by way of Montana):

Society is undergoing a change of mind about the way religion and people of faith intersect with public life. That is, there are intensifying perceptions that faith is at the root of a vast number of societal ills.

Though it remains the nation's most dominant religion, Christianity faces significant headwind in the court of public opinion. The decades-old trend that Christianity is irrelevant is increasingly giving way to the notion that Christianity is bad for society.

A new major study conducted by Barna Group, and explored in the new book Good Faith, co-authored by Barna president David Kinnaman, examines society's current perceptions of faith and Christianity. In sum, faith and religion and Christianity are viewed by millions of adults to be extremist.

I am old enough to have lived in a Christian society, and am living in today's secular society. Guess which was the better?

That’s an excellent way to put it.

But— islam, it’s soooo tolerant. What is this world coming
to —kumbayah unitarianism, iron john gay boy drum circles in the woods, or fake American Indian healers who hang out in Indian owned casinos and do the kickapooh joy dance.

Christianity— as defined by the Statists, who have never questioned their own bigotry.

Those with time on their hands, thanks to our govt. largesse paid for by you and me.

Blame the schools, from nursery to post graduate. Most of the public schools do not know much World and American History, do not know both philosophic sides of capitalism, are blatantly Christophobic, hate Israel and are proud of it.

Most are dumbed down with reality shows and ghetto rap that glamorizes the criminal life, and rationalizes prejudice against whites, asians or any aspiring individual who thinks for themselves.

An extremist Christian is like Mother Theresa

Not only that, the dopes probably believe that secular athiests like Stalan, Castro and Mao Tse-Tung are great humanitarians and champions of personal freedom.

Yes, the left has always seemed to worship the Communist mass murderers. I don’t know why, I just see that they do.

Over the last 20-odd years, the media in the US has depicted Christians in a way similar to media depictions of Jews during the 1920’s and 1930’s in Germany.

There can’t be much time left. Things are absolutely insane and total chaos is at the door.

We live in dangerous times. It is increasingly difficult to live as a Christian and be at peace with one’s community.

God warns about this: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

It won’t end well for them.

New Study: Increasing Number of Americans Consider Christianity "to be Extremist"

Because they get their news and entertainment from Liberal sources 24-7.

Movies constantly portray Christians as extremists, the News constantly reports every example they can to push the Christians are extremists meme.

As I shouted to Leo DeCaprio this morning, "No Leo, "global warming" is not the greatest threat we face. Liberal control of the media is the greatest threat we face. "

And, that is only from a secular standpoint, sadly.
