Forgot one more category: pretentious architectural "wonders" with designs intending to reformat the very concept of a church building. Some don't seem to be lacking funds. Many would be lovely as shopping centers or concert venues; many don't seem to have any obvious purpose.

Speaking of those photos of yours of "modern" church architectures...

MAD magazine once had a cartoon of two people discussing modern churches, and one observed "I don't get it. These churches today, they don't look like churches, they look more like banks." And the other guy replies, "Why shouldn't they? They're both houses of worship!"

Is the bottom one in Jefferson City Missiouri? I can’t imagine that monstrosity being built twice, but I probably lack imagination.
