Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
There are three things we can discern about Paul's Character from this short Passage.
1. He still identifies himself as a Jew, with all the heritage that comes with it. He quotes the Scriptures with ease and familiarity, and is not afraid to relate Israel's History of her relationship with The Almighty (both the good and the bad parts!). He draws upon his years of study at the feet of his mentor, the Great Jewish Scholar Gamaliel, while at the same time, sharing his own Revelation from the Holy Spirit.
2. He effortlessly and unselfconciously interchanges the Greek Word for the Messiah with the Hebrew Word for God. This is an indication that Paul believes They are One and the Same.
3. He gives us a Magnificent Statement of Hope and Power with the assurance that we will never be tested beyond our ability to cope, and that God will always be Faithful and True to give us a solution!
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
