After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.
In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.
"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.
"I like to be good. I don't like to have to ask for forgiveness. And I am good. I don't do a lot of things that are bad. I try to do nothing that is bad."

No one likes it. BTW, you seemed to have missed the verse about casting stones.
“And I am good. I don’t do a lot of things that are bad. I try to do nothing that is bad.”
That. That right there tells me a lot.
This is an article about an interview with Trump. Is there something here you want to hide?
Ek a scuse a me?
How about this is being ‘you and your God’ and leave it at that...
Since when are we ‘priests’ and have to hear confession???
wow that was what 3rd grade level speech .. maybe that is his draw..
Business Insider, the mouthpiece of Cheap Labor, that has promoted destroying America’s manufacturing base, and flooding America with slave Mexican labor, ruining millions of lives, is now oh so Christian. Yeah right.
Pride goeth before the fall. All have sinned and fallen short......Find the Way, Donnie.
Yeah, that might work!
I don't like to ask God for forgiveness either. Sadly, I have to do that way more than I'd like. Daily. Sometimes hourly.
I didn’t tell Trump what to say, I didn’t publish the article, I just found it interesting.
how can one not be at least a tad concerned with his state of mind?
ah, at least we’ll have a pres that tries to do nothing bad :)
i guess it’s an honest statement and one we would like to think of ourselves aspiring to. or something.
The interview was on CNN I guess. I’ll try to find the transcript to find out what they distorted. I want to like trump.
Had he said “the things I ask God for forgiveness is between God and me”, that’s a perfectly acceptable answer, instead he said hasn’t done anything that requires forgiveness. Anyone who is a Christian should be troubled by that answer from someone who purports to be a Christian.
I don’t know if Donald did anything in his life that he needs to ask forgiveness for.
I know that I did, and I asked for Jesus to forgive me. And I didn’t do it through a priest either, but rather in prayer and more than once.
I hope that He forgives me, because if He does not, I’ll be going down rather than up.
These are the things that are between us and our Maker.
Sounds like you need to get some ‘Bible’ Thumping...
I donât know if Donald did anything in his life that he needs to ask forgiveness for.
You should know, unless the bible is lying, he has.
Many Protestants believe that they are saved by Jesus’ death once and for all and as long as they are trying that is all God asks of them.
Leave people’s realtionship with God their private business unless they want to offer it. Nothing more sacred than that.
