Lol ... the wafer gaggleâs weekly dose alimentary of the divinity of Jesus, to re-up them just in case they get caught out without their scapulae, eh? does that sentence make any sense whatsoever????

It was a brass snake, btw, lifted up upon a pole. They were wandering around in the desert somewhere.....where did they come up with the ability to cast a brass snake???

What do you suppose God means when HE tells us in Scripture, 1 John 1:9 âIf we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.â Are you telling us that a priest can usurp God? I didn't give the priest any power at all....Jesus did, does He have that authority???

If they disobey their parents even once, they have sinned against God by disobeying HIS commandment to them. That is, by far, the most ignorant description of sin that I have ever seen....if the father tells the son to kill the daughter....and he refuses...has he sinned???? Sheesh.

That wasn't the issue. It was a staff and Moses did NOT bow down to it or serve it as Catholics do with the Catholic version of Mary now. Try to stay on track, Christians here won't go for cute little misspelled posts. Wasn't the command not to create a likeness of anything on Earth or something like that ??....like a snake???

You would be safe to presume they got the ability the same place they got the ability to cast a golden calf while Moses was upon the mountain.
Even in your advanced age you could really benefit and enjoy reading the books of Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus. There is so much to learn there, and Jesus thought highly enough of the History that He referred to it often in His Ministry. That scene in John three, where Jesus reveals for Nicodemus a secret never revealed from the time of the Brass snake to the evening Jesus spoke with Nicodemus. Things like that are astonishing affirmations of God's plan and Grace.

I hope you will go and read the texts for yourself, but here's a quick study of the brass snake episode, and the scary thing which followed it only a few generations after they people occupied the lands.
The tribes had moved to an area where snakes began coming out of the rocks, biting the people and people were dying from the venom. God commanded Moses to make a brass image of the snake and raise it high above the camp, so that anyone, yes ANYONE, who even looked at the brass image and believed God would heal them, they were healed.
Now Bible teachers will tell you that the snake poison represents sin and the belief that God made a promise to heal the poison effect represents the efficacy of Jesus fulfilling God's Promise regarding our sins.
Here's the astonishing thing about the episode that points so strongly at catholiciism today being lots of things but not Christianity: just a few generations after the snake on the pole episode, the Hebrews were casting snakes and bowing to them for healing of everything from foot fungus to word wounds and common colds. The people had made an idol out of the episode, and God commanded them through the prophet/king to stop the idolatry. The parallel to the snake being idolized for manipulating God's Promises (idolatry) by the later generations is like unto the idolizing of Mary, with the same methodology and statuary veneration (idolatry).
If you would like to refute my accusation regarding the parallels between the Mariology idolatry and the brass snake idolatry, read the stories in The Torah and John 3. See what God's Spirit will say to you through His Word, the Word made flesh Who dwelt among us.

Nonsense. There was Scripture to rad and there were business records to read. List of libraries in the ancient world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_libraries_in_the_ancient_world The OT Scripture is full of recorded instances of decrees being sent out to people in many of the nations mentioned besides Israel. In ancient Israel if a man divorced a woman, he was to give her a WRITTEN divorce certificate. An odd command if most of the people could not read or write. Since you have yet to provide any evidence to support your contention, we can pretty safely conclude that itâs wrong. Oh, please, these weren't lending libraries as we know them...they were in major cities and were used by legal people, governmental folks, maybe some rich folks, but the average man on the street knew NOTHING about them....The written divorce certificate was written by a scribe...don't you ever read a history book....the reason that you cannot read Swahili is because you don't need to and because there isn't a book, written in Swahili within hundreds of miles....and you don't have a car, you have to WALK to get there....good grief.

Who cares what Catholicism taught. Mary was betrothed to Joseph and in Israel, that was considered a legal valid marriage. Joseph had in mind to divorce her quietly BEFORE the marriage was consummated, to that blows your argument out of the water. No it doesn't, Mary and Joseph were married under Jewish law, not Catholic.

"children" getting into "trouble" are not committing sin...sin is an intentional act against God Only kind of 'trouble' that I know about is disobeying what has been commanded to them.
Kinda like...
Honor your father and mother.
What kinds of 'trouble' do you Catholics have?
