A group of liberal clergy and religious leaders are calling on Texas Governor Greg Abbot to reverse his decision to revoke taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Abbottâs administration cut taxpayer funding for the abortion company after it was caught selling the body parts of aborted babies, though Planned Parenthood is fighting in court to keep taxpayers on the dole.
âThe gruesome harvesting of baby body parts by Planned Parenthood will not be allowed in Texas, and the barbaric practice must be brought to an end,â Abbott said at the time.
The signers (some listed below) of the letter are affiliated with a smaller Baptist church denomination that broke away from the ardently pro-life Southern Baptist Convention, with the Presbyterian Church USA and the United Methodist Church, both of whom have advocated for abortion. And many of the signer are affiliated with the pro-abortion Universalist Church.
SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately
According to a news report, hereâs what these breakaway Baptists had to say:
An open letter signed by 53 progressive clergy protested the exclusion of Planned Parenthood from Medicaid.
âUnited in our shared commitment to justice and religious freedom, we affirm the right of all women across Texas to make their own health care decisions,â said the letter organized by Just Texas, a project of the Texas Freedom Network. âEliminating Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood denies women and families that freedom and leaves many of our stateâs most vulnerable women without access to basic health care.â âWomen have a moral and legal right to decide for themselves which health care providers they will see,â said Valda Jean Combs, an associate minister at Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston and member of the Just Texas Advisory Committee. âAs faith leaders in our communities, we cannot be silent when politicians interfere with that freedom and risk leaving vulnerable women without access to the basic care they need and deserve.â
Other signatories include Larry Bethune, senior pastor of University Baptist Church in Austin, and Amelia Fulbright, founding minister and executive director of Labyrinth Progressive Student Ministry, an ecumenical Christian community at the University of Texas, who also is on the Just Texas Advisory Committee.
The report indicates the Baptists who signed the letter were kicked out of the Southern Baptist Convention in 1998 and joined the more liberal Alliance of Baptists and American Baptist Churches, USA.
The fifth undercover video in the controversy over Planned Parenthoodâs sale of aborted baby parts shows the Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, advertising the Texas Planned Parenthood branchâs track record of fetal tissue sales, including its ability to deliver fully intact aborted babies.
In the video, actors posing as representatives from a human biologics company meet with Farrell at the abortion-clinic headquarters of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston to discuss a potential partnership to harvest fetal organs.

âWhere we probably have an edge over other organizations, our organization has been doing research for many many years,â explains Farrell. When researchers need a specific part from the aborted fetus, Farrell says, âWe bake that into our contract, and our protocol, that we follow this, so we deviate from our standard in order to do that.â
Asked specifically if this means Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast can change abortion procedures to supply intact fetal specimens, Farrell affirms, âSome of our doctors in the past have projects and theyâre collecting the specimens, so they do it in a way that they get the best specimens, so I know it can happen.â
The investigators ask Farrell how she will frame a contract in which they pay a higher price for higher quality fetal body parts, and she replies, âWe can work it out in the context ofâobviously, the procedure itself is more complicated,â suggesting that âwithout having you cover the procedural costâ and paying for the abortion, the higher specimen price could be framed as âadditional time, cost, administrative burden.â
Farrell finally summarizes her affiliateâs approach to fetal tissue payments: âIf we alter our process, and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this. Itâs all just a matter of line items.â
Farrell also indicates to the investigators over lunch that the specimen sales from her department contribute significantly to Planned Parenthood Gulf Coastâs overall finances: âI think everyone realizes, especially because my department contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know weâre one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States. Larger than any the other affiliatesâ combined.â
At one point in the video, Planned Parenthood staff show off the body of a 20-week old twin baby aborted and sold for parts.
The exposeâ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation.
The exposeâ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all eleven:
In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: âWeâve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so Iâm not gonna crush that part, Iâm gonna basically crush below, Iâm gonna crush above, and Iâm gonna see if I can get it all intact.â In the second video: Planned Parenthoodâs Dr. Mary Gatter joked, âI want a Lamborghiniâ as she negotiated the best price for baby parts. In the third video: Holly OâDonnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs. In the fourth video: Planned Parenthoodâs Dr. Savita Ginde stated, âWe donât want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.â She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were âgood to go.â In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthoodâs skill in obtaining âintact fetal cadaversâ and how her âresearchâ department âcontributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know weâre one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.â In the sixth video: Holly OâDonnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: âThere were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers donât know. And thereâs no way they would know.â In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly OâDonnell described the harvesting, or âprocurement,â of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monteâs Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. ââYou want to see something kind of cool,ââ OâDonnell says her supervisor asked her. âAnd she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And Iâm sitting here and Iâm looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I donât know what to think.â In the eighth video: StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admits Planned Parenthood sells âa lot ofâ fully intact aborted babies. The ninth video: catches a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies â including one who âjust fell outâ of the womb. The 10th video: catches the nationâs biggest abortion business selling specific body parts â including the heart, eyes and âgonadsâ of unborn babies. The video also shows the shocking ways in which Planned Parenthood officials admit that they are breaking federal law by selling aborted baby body parts for profit. Unreleased Videos: Unreleased videos from CMP show Deb Vanderhei of Planned Parenthood caught on tape talking about how Planned Parenthood abortion business affiliates may âwant to increase revenue [from selling baby parts] but we canât stop themâ¦â Another video has a woman talking about the âfinancial incentivesâ of selling aborted baby body parts. The 11th video catches a Texas Planned Parenthood abortionist planning to sell the intact heads of aborted babies for research. Amna Dermish is caught on tape describing an illegal partial-birth abortion procedure to terminate living, late-term unborn babies which she hopes will yield intact fetal heads for brain harvesting.

I went and checked out the article you mention. That is absolutely disgusting, so much for all the lies the Muzzies tell about what a wonderful society Iz lame builds.
No, they would be supporters of any progressive candidate, include Obama in 2012, and Hillary! in 2016 (though their hearts feel the Bern).
And why do so many “Christians”, both Catholic and non-Catholic, vote Democrat when a major plank of their platform is abortion.
Well, what would I know? My husband and I LIVED and worked in the KSA for five years. So we did get to know the culture. Have you lived in a Muslim country? For how long?
====================================================
They probably aren't the majority with Islam, but their influence in certain regions is substantial. They have even successfully joined forces with African Anglicans and Catholics in order to block U.N. population control programs in Africa.
There is so much hatred, it seems, of anything about Islam. It seems that some folks forget that they are human beings who, in general, strive to do good.
Condemning ALL the people who practice a faith for the evil that a VERY small number of those people do makes no sense. It doesn't seem to be a very Christian way of practicing their faith when they talk like that about Muslims/Islam.
Thank you for your informative words.
Becuzzzzzz:
-- They are hypocrites about their faith.
-- They vote the way their parents did and always will. Sometimes the secret ballot hides a whole lot of GOP votes from Democrats.
-- They are immature about the entire concept of abortion being murder. I can still hear the screeching of feminists: STAY OUT OF MY WOMB! Horrible women.
-- They haven't really put Christian ethics into their lives.
-- They refuse to acknowledge that Jesus would probably ask them why they are killing/aborting one of His innocent children.
Just some thoughts.
Have you read the koran?
My husband got one from a Saudi contractor years ago.
I did read parts of it. It's a knock-off of the Bible, especially the Old Testament. It's didn't impress me.
I still have it but haven't opened it again for eons.
Is what Muzzies themselves say and teach an inadequate test when compared to how gracious they are to guests in their homes?
IMHO, all that proves is that when push comes to shove they'll do what their religion dictates in spite of other cultural pressures. A good friend of mine wrote me about how well a guy he worked with treated him every time he visited. The same guy who killed him about two months later. That was in Pakistan, another Muslim nation as well, no ?
This crap with Muzzies has been going on since Carter and getting worse every year right along with the BS getting deeper every year thanks to the well funded Muzzie PR machinery.
I have relatives living in Egypt now, by the by, and I value their views and understanding acquired over the last decade plus more than chit chat in a forum. The MB was following every foreigner who worked for anything not controlled by the MB right up until the military took over. "Arab Spring" arrived and the Egyptian military won't let them drive anywhere without an armed guard ever since.
The Egyptians played it smart, waited until the whole apparatus was mapped and the mobs were tired, then wiped out more of the MB than Nasser had been able to. Nonetheless, those who are dedicated to Iz Lame more than to a secular State are killing and will be killing people, foreigners in particular, for a good long time to come.
Spare me the good things about Muzzies in general, please. When there's no fervor over Jihad or the Mahdi, they're fine. Unfortunately, anyone who actually cares about reality rather than about defending their preconceptions can read history and see a clear cycle that's been running through the Iz Lame Ick world ever since the ninth century.
Expand screaming about Sharia Law and/or the Mahdi, get smacked down, slaughter hordes of one another, have a few generations of somewhat rational behavior, repeat.
JMHo . . . have a nice day
