I don’t hate them.
I just want a bright line separating their subtypes between “freedom of religion” and “enemies foreign and domestic”. Finding that line is not going well.
Yes, I share your concern. I’m seeing too much wanton abandonment of core principles in this matter.
If you refuse to hug a rattlesnake to your chest, it does not indicate you “hate” rattlesnakes, just that you understand their nature.
Typical communist trick. A straw man. A false choice. Wanting to preserve and protect the integrity of The United States of America does not require a hatred of some other country or religion.
In America, as Founded, we can have freedom and liberty. We don’t have to hate something before we can like something else.
Illustrated in the closing scene of the Dan Ackroyd, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Lee Curtis flick TRADING PLACES; when Denholm Elliott’s character is asked whether they should have lobster or cracked crab for lunch. To which Elliott replied, “Why don’t we have both?”
God Bless America. And America Bless God. Amen.
Islam is a form of government. Is it un-Christian not to love a form of government?
The title is a trap.
You made a huge judgment regarding a Christian’s regard of Islam.
Most Christians do not hate Muslims. Islam is a syncretic tribal religion based on a hash of Christianity and Judaism with pagan elements thrown in diametrically opposed to Christianity, but hatred, no.
Are they in error, yes. Do they need evangelization, of course, we are called to reach out.
Hate sin, hate death and terror, righteous anger at those who perpetrate such acts is just, but please, do not assume that hatred is the basis for a Christian’s worldview toward Muslims.
Hoagy62, you completely misunderstand Christianity. You have an idealized academic perspective, not to be found in scripture, but in the misinterpretation and misuse of it.
Jesus did recognize that there were times we needed to take up swords and He said so.
Have you ever tried to reason with a Moslem? Have you ever been to one of their countries and seen the demonic possession of the place and people? I have.
If we cannot reason with Moslems or drive out their demons we have only one recourse.
And that is to take up swords.
And I’m certain you misconstrue the real concern and resolve of Freepers for hatred. That’s a strong word...too strong. We really disrespect and despise them, even loathe them, as we would any evil demon or impure anti-Christian thing. And that’s a healthy thing, purely human.
It’s simple. I don’t hate Muslims. I hate islam Muslims are it’s primary victim group and are to be exposed to the gospel. But the belief system to which they subscribe is very dangerous.
I don’t hate Muslims, I hate the vile, demonic religious and political system of Islam they are part of and don’t trust anyone who embraces it in any way.
Nothing would make happier than to see millions deceived by Islam repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Bait post. Faithful Christians do not hate muslims. We only believe they need to repent and turn back to God. That failing, they can NOT live here. They must be deported because the koran teaches them to subdue, tax and/or kill us. Either they change, or they leave. No hate involved. It’s like living around cannibals. No compromise is possible.
I pray for their repentance and conversion ... right up to the moment the bullet goes through their skull.
I do not hate Mohammedans; I have great contempt for the cult that they call a religion because it is satanically inspired.
I do not worry so much about those who belong to this cult simply because that is all they have ever known and who do not even delve into their beliefs. We could call them cultural muslims, I suppose, just as we have Christians and Jews that we would describe as “cultural ____”.
Because there are mohammedans who, following the dictates of their cult, wish to establish a worldwide caliphate through violence and destruction, I believe we must be wary of all mohammedans who wish to come into our country.
If a mohammedan comes to the US after a thorough, reliable vetting and truly assimilates — rather than living by sharia law — then we can probably live safely with him.
Yes, Jesus charged us to love one another, and, while He gave Himself over to be murdered, I don’t think He requires His followers to sit idly by while their women and children are raped and murdered.
I don’t hate Muslims. I don’t hate anyone. As a Christian I am allowed to defend those whom I love from evil.
You’ve got a hundred responses here, boy.
What say ye?
Liberal “logic” is unanswerable. Any disagreement about life choices equals hate.
If I believe something is harmful and leads to danger, violence and death and permanent separation from God .. such as homosexuality or islam, there is no way I can express it without being called a hater.
It is as if I said, “Children should not play with poisonous snakes.”
Liberal response: “Why do you hate children!”
I view radical Muslims like cockroaches. Roaches disgust me, need to be eradicated but I don't really hate them, they are unworthy of the emotion.
Are you going to reply to the many posts on this thread that you started or was this simply a bait post?
Am I sad for the fact that they have chosen a road that is going to end up with them in hell? Yes.
Will I, when given the opportunity, try to show them a better way? Yes.
Will that stop me from saying mohammedanism must be destroyed? No.
