However the Bible says:

verse26: “So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them.
verse 27”For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

He has definitely NOT returned. And will not do so until after the Antichrist arises and has his time. The Apostle Paul warned us as well.
You are correct but - they (the rabbi et. al.) are making the assumption the messiah is some living person on this earth. But the boy said it is just some living person - and Jesus is not dead.
