“Here some Christian artists I listen to. Bill Mallonee/Vigilantes of Love, Mark Heard, Steven Taylor/Chagal Guevara, The Vespers, Poema, Buddy Miller.”

Here are some Christian artists I listen to: Giovanni Pierluigi da Pelestrina, Thomas Tallis, John Sheppard, William Byrd, and a host of Russian composers.

Why? Because none of the people you listed could ever produce even this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWQeAaWKELY and it has no words.

And they most certainly could not produce this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx-_XCOFX3g

Or this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDOENZediM8

Or this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIzBaXiEMLc

The simple fact is that much of what is called “Christian music” these days is not much less ugly, coarse or secular than secular music.

I may listen to some of the artists you recommend, because...well, I have an open mind about music.....unlike you.

oh, my. Divine, absolutely divine. If you wouldn’t mind posting more links I would appreciate it, otherwise I will spend days listening to all the links on youtube. I can’t believe I missed this. Your sharing is the only reason I can think of that made me keep clicking on the thread but not reading until now. I only listen to classic hymns, some old gospel, classic country (real country) and classical. As I said, divine.
