The other day I was thinking of a lingering question I had about the Erez tree harbinger. While I may not be assured of every single last word Jonathan Cahn says about the connections between Isaiah 9 and 9/11, I do believe the basic ones are plainly there. I've researched their background myself, so I'm convinced of that, and of the Isaiah9-9/11 connection's significance. The only harbinger that I didn't feel I'd looked into far enough was the Erez tree, though the evidence of the others I believed was so strong, that I haven't concerned about that. I'd partly looked into the Erez tree awhile back, but the remaining question I had was about the English translations of the word Hebrew "erez," which is rendered "cedar." What I hadn't entirely found for myself was Cahn's conclusion that "erez" didn't have to mean the cedar tree only, but could also mean the wider evergreen or pine family.
Looking further the other day, then, I found a blog in which the blogger says she corresponded with Cahn on this particular question, and he provided her with some of his notes, which included Bible dictionaries he'd consulted.

Not all of these sources cited by Cahn can be accessed for free online, but in the couple I was able to look at, it was sure enough true that "erez" could have a broader meaning than "cedar" to include the pine family.
From Cahn's notes:
Here are a few of my notes from over 2000 pages of researchFrom Jamiesson Fausset and Brown - Classic Commentary on the Bible ON Levitcus 14:4 Where speaks of CEDAR EREZ in wilderness
Cedrus Libani cannot be meant here, for that famous tree was not a native of the Sinaitic desert.
As the word eres is used in a wide sense to denote any CONIFER it has been supposed by many that the juniper (juniper oxycedrus) (((other is juniperus Phoenicia same?))))) is referred to , as several varieties of that shrub are found growing abundantly in the clefts and crevices of the SInaitic mountains...
Another Source: erez -applied in a loose way to allied trees, such as junipers and PINES
From THE REVELL BIBLE DICTIONARY The entire entry on cedar on pages 197-198 reads as follows:
Cedar
Large evergreen tree of Lebanon, prized for its use in the construction of public buildings;
generally, any EVERGREEN including the juniper bush. ..
The Hebrew erez, rendered cedar in all English versions, is most likely a generic word for THE PINE FAMILY
SMITHS BIBLE DICTIONARY
Cedar (Hebrew: erez; Arabic [arz, the latch) There are eleven groves of cedars on the Lebanon mountains, which have been visited by travelers recently ..
The reference to cedar-wood int eh Scripture do not always mean the cedar of Lebanon as, for instance, when at Sinai (Leviticus 12:6).
The word means also the PINE, Cyprus, fir and juniper

I thought it would be timely to post on this given that the other day was the Shemitah, and apparently, at least, nothing in particular happened. I also wondered as the day approached if the Lord was going to bring about another great event, but now want to mention what Jonathan Cahn said beforehand about the latest Shemitah, as I saw recently in a video (I tried to find it but didn't locate it yet). He said if something happened on September 13, 2015, the Church should be a light to the world. And if something didn't happen on that day, the Church should be a light to the world.
So, absolutely nothing happened on 9/11/15 or 9/13/15...
Whassup, Jonny!

I am told it is nothing but a marker.
I have read that it has to do with the 23rd.
I read it is going to rain later today.
I am not sure what to believe. So, I listen to everyone.
Nothing that we’ve been told about.
Be that as it may.
Thanks for clarifying that.
Nothing in particular has to happen right away. We have entered a new time. It is all in God's hands and whatever will occur will take place on His time schedule.
A crane got hit by lightning and blew over at Mecca killing over 100 including a top Iranian scientist. Not exactly nothing. Not all news is that quick to come out.
When I read the article, that’s what came to my mind...
Crane 9/11 Twin towers 9/11....
Could be a warning like the blood moons.
I did not read the article just parts of the Pre-Ramble.
Rainbow in New York at Ground Zero. The church across from Ground Zero is where George Washington was sworn in as President.
I myself see the rainbow as hopeful - George Washington declared our nation under God’s sovereignty.
Others see it as another harbinger depicting the rainbow light show on the White House and the Empire State Building.

Oh, I have that covered. I listen to everyone. I believe few of them.
I think it is telling that, so far as I know, Americans were not dancing in the streets and ululating at the news of the crane being blown over and killing many Muslims on September 11th (9/11), 2015.
In good faith I wrote this article, in the hopes of encouraging other Christians. I was aware of what happened on 9/11 with the crane falling in Mecca on the mosque, and considered it to be a divine act, but it didn’t happen on the Shemitah. The Shemitah taking place on September 13, 2015, was given a lot of attention by Christians, who wondered if there would be a worldwide calamity, such as the world financial system collapsing, happening on that day. So far as we know to this point, though, nothing in particular happened on September 13. And yes, the crane collapse on 9/11 would seem to be connected, I’m sure that even after that, Christians were still wondering up through September 13 if something terrible was going to happen on that day.
That’s interesting.
Some stuff is just useful to stuff away on a back shelf in my mind for future reference.
The church across from Ground Zero is where George Washington was sworn in as President.
St. Paul’s Chapel is the church George Washington went to after he was sworn in.
According to september2015.com, Israel has not spotted the crescent moon as of Monday night. So Tishri 1 officially begins Tuesday at Sundown in Israel by default.
SOME commentators are saying that the huge crane that was struck by lightning and fell on the mosque in Mecca, killing over 200 people, was a Shemitah sign. And some incident in this Country was also mentiond as Shemitah-significant. I’m having a senior moment.
