As for his hypocrisy toward preachy movies, freepers have done a good job of nailing that.
Christianity Today despises the movie as well, along with pretty much any movie with clear, positive messages.

Christianity Today, however, does speak well of crass crap like Sex and the City.

“...Ill just be opening myself up to some religious people (a minority of them, most religious people are just great) attacking my review and calling me names and accusing me of being anti-religious (even though what they dont realize is that I went to Bible College).
Well, as someone already stated, at least a moment (however brief) of honesty. But we couldn’t exactly call it clarity. How many people, I wonder, went to Bible College and hate God or are totally irreligious? He also reveals that people’s opinions do matter - he just doesn’t want to deal with them directly. That sort of sounds like blacks living among other blacks, whites living among whites and liberal movie reviewers hanging with other liberal movie reviewers. Well, as the saying goes, if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Liberal hypocrisy leaked out a little more than I think he realized or intended in these statements. However, let’s see the hands of those who are surprised.
He later added in a follow-up post:" All that reaction just from me saying I wasnt reviewing the film.
Can you imagine how much hatred would be unleashed if I did review the movie and gave it a negative review? No thanks."
You are already Politically Correct, and already made a decision , ..you doofus, when you said : !!< br> " 1) I know Im not going to like them"
Enough said ,.. you hypercrit !!
Campea won’t review the film because it’s an in - your - face refutation of his phony liberal values.
Did he review “Philadelphia”, “An Inconvenient Truth” or “The day after Tomorrow”? All a bit preachy.
I think what he’s really afraid of is that he might like it.
Never heard of this guy, so who cares what he thinks?
Seriously.
Years ago, I think it was Toby Keith who did a song about critics....basically how they write about what other people can execute....
He gets up real early on his mornin drive.
Down to the office for his 9 to 5.
He drives a 94, 2 ton, economy car.
Loves to tell the local bands down at the bar that he’s The Critic.
Yea, I can hook you up, I know everybody, in the business.
He flunked junior high band he couldn’t march in time.
He tried to write a song once, he couldn’t make it rhyme.
He went two or three chords on a pawn shop guitar, he just never quite had what it took to be a star, so he’s a critic.
I work for the Gazette man...I got a real job.
He did a 5-star column on a band he never heard.
He did a bluegrass review about an unkind word.
He thought it was time to ask his boss for a raise, his boss said I can’t even tell if anybody’s even readin your page.
Yea...
So he thought...and he thought a little more.
He caught a young hot star headin into town, and then he hid behind his typewriter and gunned the boy down.
Here come the letters, the e-mails, the faxes, they raised him to 20,000 dollars after taxes.
He’s a happy critic...
He’s rollin in the dough...
Man I could do this forever...this is easy. Everybody’s readin my column!
Please don’t tell my mom, that I write the music column for the Gazette.
She still thinks I play piano down at the Cathouse.
Hope you don’t mind, but I threw this point at him on his FaceBook page which us linked in the article.
Indeed, and that's why I watch so few of them. I like a movie with a good story, well-defined characters, and realistic dialog. I don't like movies which show people screwing or try to teach me a better way to live.
I wonder if he managed to review The Day After Tomorrow or Fahrenheit 9-11.
No time to look now, but if he did, they can be found.
I know nothing. Nothing.
He hates preachy movies? Then he’d better get to hating every single piece that proselytizes liberal positions on “global warming,” “the evils of war,” and “corporate greed.”
