In the general scramble to grab a bit of Pope Francis’ luster in time for his upcoming trip to the United States, Politico has joined a host of other journals, pundits and politicians to stake a claim to the popular pontiff while attempting to distance him from their political adversaries.
In its bid to remake the Pope in its own image and likeness, Politico has called Francis the “anti-Donald Trump,” saying that he differs from the GOP—and Trump in particular—on a host of issues, noting that many of his declarations “are at odds with positions held by Republicans.”
No one would suggest that Pope Francis and Donald Trump see eye to eye. The men differ on an array of topics, from immigration to economic reform to the environment. But this doesn’t mean the two are polar opposites either, and even less that Francis is somehow more closely aligned with the American Left.
One could just as easily, and perhaps more truly, call Pope Francis the “anti-Hillary,” since many of the key positions she trumpets—such as gay marriage, unrestricted abortion, opposition to school choice and curbs on religious freedom—are diametrically opposed to the Pope’s views.

Francis had said that he is not offended when he is called Marxist, since he knows many Marxists that are good people. Since Peron supported the Axis, and Argentina gave refuge to many Nazis at the end of World War II, I wonder If Francis might also know Nazis who are good people and if he will be offended if he is called a Nazi sympathizer? After all, the Communists murdered more people than the Nazis, if he found many good Communists, he might also find good Nazis.
In the book written by Archbishop Bergoglio on the trip of John Paul II to Cuba, Francis makes echo of the virtues of the Cuban Stalinist regime as expressed in Castro’s addresses while exalting the Cuban dictator’s vitriolic attacks to the capitalist system making U.S. the culprit of everything that is wrong in Latin America.
A) Trump is pro-U.S. pro-free enterprise
B)Pope Francis is anti- U.S. and anti-free enterprise and pro Marxism.
C) Pope Francis is anti-Trump

I don't think he's a Marxist. I think he's a Mussolini-style Fascist. The only economy he has ever known is the Peronista-fascist economy of Argentina. He's never had any experience with anything even resembling a free economy.

I’m sorry, I think it’s very silly to compare the Pope to a candidate for POTUS, regardless of the merits/flaws of either.
