I don’t know either. Odd. There was nothing wrong with it.

Saying churches have been infiltrated and if a Church does these kind of sham marriages are not Christian is hardly cause for it to be deleted in my opinion, unless someone did not like that post.

I can’t imagine a post on FR getting deleted for being opposed to homosexual marriage.

Are you a Prot/Evang? Could it be the caucus thing?

“We continue to stand firm in the Baptist world for the historic principles of our founders, as evident in our membership’s vote on May 2, 1999, to discontinue affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention of which our congregation was a charter member.”

So they remained baptist by rejecting the SBC. I guess years of liberalizing their theology has led to dumping scripture entirely...not much to be surprised at.

They don’t have much to stand on except their own wisdom.

They’re sure not standing on the bible.

The cooperative baptists believe in the ordination of women as pastors. I’ve noticed a trend in churches that abandon the NT requirements for leadership and allow women soon allow ordination/acceptance of homosexuality.

God will not be mocked.

Their day will come and it won’t be pretty for them.

“modern biblical exegesis”

It's more like "modern biblical exit-Jesus"

Ted Cruz had an interview with a couple who was sued because they would not perform a homo-sexual marriage in their church....the stopped doing weddings and now the church has to actually close.

LGBT Community is purposely targeting Christian churches/business to close them down...

Through the CBF they have partnered with the Alliance of Baptists.....

Here's one of their beliefs/concerns:

The Alliance of Baptists began in 1987 as a prophetic voice in Baptist life. Today, we are a faith community comprised of male and female laity and clergy, people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, theological beliefs, and ministry practices.

We are concerned about drones, homelessness, the death penalty, racism, education, classism, hunger, poverty, and abuse of all kinds.

Within my rural neighborhood are six Baptist churches. One is Primitive Baptist, at least two more are Missionary Baptist, and there is a Church of GOD as well my neighbor started years ago. None of them would accept this. The Southern Baptist church I grew up going too in Knoxville would not accept homosexuality then or now.

The thing about it is any church can name itself Baptist likely in such cases as the one in SC to make the sheep feel more comfortable about living in their shepherds deception.

One thing I noticed both in the SBC church I attended as a kid and the Missionary Baptist I attended as an adult was the preachers when the sermon began said "Please on your Bibles". Scriptures tell us to check what is being to told us by what is written in the Bible. I would think with Bibles open and members checking the content and context of a sermon to what is written deception is harder to accomplish. I haven't been back to the church I went too in my youth but my uncle still attends it as does a cousin and they would not remain silent if a pro-homosexuality sermon was preached. The good thing is in most Baptist the Deacons do have the authority to remove one doing so the very day of the service.

First Baptist of Greenville, South Carolina needs to read the following passage of scripture and understand it's seriousness including congregation, Deacons, and Clergy at all levels. What serious sin are they committing condoning homosexuality and bringing it into their church as acceptable and blessed?

Matthew ch 18 5"And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; 6but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

They had to "Earn their REPROBATE MIND" by refusing God ~ not once, ~ not twice, ~ but THREE times!

You need to not only read, BUT STUDY this link
I especially agree with its last paragraph. There will be NO HOMOSEXUALS ( NOT ONE ) in the afterlife.
They WILL BE ASHES UNDER the soles of your feet ! ! !
