I almost quit FR two years ago over the continued onslaughts of the anti-Mormon wolf pack. It was awful.
By the way, I'm Missouri Synod Lutheran. I respect all civilized religions, as should we all.
As an aside, when I went shoulder-by-shoulder pavement-pounding in Illinois with that famous conservative, Phyllis Schlafly of Eagle Forum, in the "Stop ERA" battle years ago, the most active, family-oriented volunteers in the successful country-wide effort were the doorbell-ringing Mormon men and women who were at our sides for a whole year.

The interminable, cut and pasted anti-Mormon screeds seem to have died down without a Romney candidacy to leech onto.
I agree with you that they were extremely offensive, and I'm not a Mormon either.
