It goes both ways
Does not justify it. It’s simply an observation.

I hope Alex’s hiatus is temporary. I actually enjoyed his sense of humor.

You only have control over your actions. If someone else chooses to be childish, that’s on them.

LOL! The "God of the Catholic Thread Headings", to paraphrase Rudyard Kipling.

I believe that I inferred that. Both sides have some repenting and thinking to do on attitude.

I do not donate to FR due to the promotion of spiritual ignorance. But you are still here...
And you are by your own admission a FReeploader...
That's something like walking through Krogers, grabbing some bread, roast beast, and a jar of mayo, making yourself a sandwich, consuming it while you wander about looking at all the items, and then leaving without paying for anything.
Tell me, what other things do you not support due to spiritual ignorance, Superman?

I certainly don’t come to FR looking for spiritual enlightenment. I’m here for the politics and the sports.

I don’t understand being upset over the fact that people disagree. The Undead Thread religion rule is that everyone can discuss his or her religious beliefs or activities. Anyone else can ask questions about someone else’s religion. However, nobody can argue or criticize. Once a question is answered and the information understood, the questioner has to say, “Thanks for sharing.” He can’t say, “But you’re wrong!”
It’s not necessary for the whole forum to operate on that basis, but the fact that it works suggests that a bit of detachment could go a long way. “I disagree with you about (this) because (argument).” “Yes, I think you’re right about (this), but on the other hand (that).” I’ve had plenty of discussions that ended in continued disagreement, but not in hostility.

The boss did not say any threads critical of Catholicism were banished, but (more than once) that "the daily Catholic bashing threads are history."
And "The daily attack threads against Catholics was getting to be way out of bounds.. Ive put a stop to it. If I think daily attack threads against protestants is getting out of hand Ill address it.
I think sure reasoned arguments on both sides against each other are safe, though Chick and Vorbis type incendiary (well, that can be anything that impugns Rome to certain RCS) screeds should be avoided, and should be a less common occurrence.
I would nominate Springfield Reformer and MadDawg as the most civil posters on both sides, not that those with more heat are to be second class, while mere smoke is to be avoided.
