And that is exactly why people should not follow denominations, but rather Jesus.
God ALWAYS has a remnant, and just as Protestanism rose out of failing Catholicism, and Evangelicalism rose out of failing Protestantism, so God will raise up followers of His Son out of failing Evangelicalism.
I do beleive the God allows and uses persecution to purify His church, and force people out to share the gospel.
When the church in Acts, which was supposed to GO into all the world, stayed in Jerusalem, God allowed persecution to scatter them, taking the message with them.
The true church, the body comprised of true believers committed to His Son, irrespective of denominatioal affiliation, will continue to grow and the chaff, those who are in it for whatever gain, will be exposed and sifted ouI also am convinced for many reasons, that we are in the end times, that the return of Christ is near. There is momentum building and situations and scenarios being set up that could not have existed in earlier times, that are necessary to occur before the end.
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to post that for me.
