Your argument is so illogical as to be incomprehensible. The only glimmer of sense I can put to it is if your definition of “Protestant” is “not Catholic” (do you notice how I don’t gratuitously insult Catholics by not capitalizing the name - as you do Protestant?)

What does you “argument” have to do with my point? Do you defend Nancy Pelosi (who vociferously supports abortion) as a practicing Catholic? Or Kerry? If not, then what are you arguing with me about? Did the Church excommunicate them for supporting infanticide, as it should?

That was my point. This is a thread about the Catholic Church’s position regarding the gay marriage ruling - and it is indisputable that in the Church’s lax approach to the Kerrys and Pelosis and the Kennedys of their faith, they have helped bring the result.

Before I prove you wrong, it is incumbent upon you to first establish your “point” (if it can be called that). What is “Protestant” about contraception or abortion? You say it, but you have not come close to establishing it.

If it started with contraception, then how did Sodom become Sodom? It certainly wasn’t because of contraception, was it?

It started when Eve bit into the fruit and made Adam complicit in her sin.

You do know that the rhythm method is a form of contraception, don’t you? Contraception was around long before there was such a ting as a Christian, let alone a Protestant.

NO. It isn’t.

I have been very troubled by recent events, and his words are very helpful to me.

They are still just words...

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; ,

then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.

Further, since we all have fallen natures, we ought not assume a mere “us vs. them” scenario.

I doubt that Rome has the power to bring back it's racks and pots of boiling oil.

The cafeteria Catholics don’t care; anti-Catholics want to see fireworks.

Indeed!

Exploding heads are an added feature.

COMPROMISE?

Not on MY watch; Christie!

There are many saints in the making that you might not know about.

And they'll have the same effect as the OTHER dead ones: ZERO!

Don’t blame Catholics for the descent into hell that protestantism has done to Christianity in the last 50 years.

I seem to recall that GOD told the Jews to wipe theie enemies ALL out; but they did not:

Joshua 9
The Gibeonite Deception

Rome should have KILLED all them damned Protestants when it had the power to do so.

Now a mere shell of it's past glory, all it can do is whine about them.

Add protestant No-Fault Divorce as another big reason why this country has sank into the gutters in the last 50 years.

The Doctrine of the Catholic Church has has always condemned these assaults on the family.

And how well has this worked in PRACTICE among the Catholic pew warmers?

oh yes, it is. You have proven you have no idea what you’re talking about.

From Webster:
CONTRACEPTION
: deliberate prevention of conception or impregnation

Look up Gregory Goodwin Pincus for further proof of your lunacy.

Sorry, I didn’t check the author of your post. I thought it was NKP_Vet to whom I was responding.

Nevertheless - the rhythm method is definitely a form of contraception, despite your denial.

Uh - I looked up contraception in the dictionary....and I posted it for you.

The rhythm method is deliberate and it is intended to avoid conception.

Webster again
rhythm method
noun
medical : a method of birth control in which a couple does not have sexual intercourse during the time when pregnancy is most likely to happen

Birth control = contraception

Please quit arguing this; you are wrong, I am right.
