The behavior, not the person. FWIW, a person who has same gender attraction but lives life in chastity could very well be given a place in heaven.
Romans 10, v 9-10:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Now that's not hard to understand is it? Understanding that passage of scripture isn't the problem for most people, believing that it's true is.
