Good example. Christ talked with them at the Transfiguration.
Again....how do you know it is a “God only” miracle??
You may want to re-read Revelation regarding the beast and his fatal wound that was healed.
This is not changing matter out of nothing. It is taking one substance and changing it to another. That God can create ex-nihilo is without question....well at least it is in the Bible....the catechism is another thing.
or the multiplication of the bread and fishes. This would also hold for cures that require instantaneous growth of destroyed tissue such as cancer, or the quick closing of a wound such as a stigmata.
Re-read Revelation where it talks about the capabilities of the beast and false prophet.
Makes you wonder if they’ve actually read the story!
What you say is true, the perception of the church to out siders does look like it is in a state of confusion. But, I put my faith in God, not in man. God said he would protect the church’s teachings from error and that He has done. People can preceive the church has changed it’s teachings but it has not. There are a lot of people, includimg priests and bishops, who distort the truths pf the faith for their own agenda, but that is why we must know our faith inside and out so we can discern error. It does get frustrating for us faithful Catholics to see our church portrayed as such a chaotic mess by human scandals, it discourages people from seeing the truth and beauty of what the church truly is. So we are told to pray for all and hold to the truth. That is what we do.
Believe what you want.
And you know that how??? Has it never seemed strange to Catholics that the Holy Spirit saw to record those miracles yet not the assumption of the 2nd most perfect person (according to RC's) ??/Would that not have encouraged the new church?? Would not the apostles have wanted to share this with the church... the scriptural silence is
Do you give your personal testimony in your church? If yours is like most Protestant churches I've attended (yes, actually attended services with friends), you do. Why?
How is your testimony relevant to a Sola Scriptura crowd? If it is truly Sola Scriptura then anything you add of your own testimony is irrelevant.
I am not a fan of "personal testimonies"..... But have you ever listened to women reliving the birth of their child?? The length of the labor?? The size of the baby??
Have you ever heard a dad talk of his experience in the delivery room?? cutting the cord?? calling the "birth time"..
Birth , new life is an experience that people love to relive, to share, to compare... I think that is much like the testimonies we hear.. ..Let me tell you about my new Birth..the wonder ..how large it was in my life.. when and where it happened..
So part of it is the opportunity to share a work of God..the wonder and the miracle of it.. It is for the purpose of glorifying Christ and His work and testifying to the truth of the promises of God ..
Just read the Bible and be done with it.
Only a Catholic could say "just read the bible and be done with it"... The bible revels the heart and the character of God.. it opens up the length and breath of His plan for man.. one does not "just read it" , one lingers on it.. digests it... studies it for its meanings ...

This made me smile..because it is Romanists that put god in a box..and lock it to keep him safe
He is all powerful, He can do what He wants
Godcan not violate His own character ...
and He can send who he wants to warn us.
He sent the prophets... and then Christ, and then the apostles and authors of the scriptures... ...It is all recorded for our warning, and our encouragement ... all one needs to do to hear from God is read the Bible out loud
If you choose to ignore the warnings, that is your choice.Indeed
The Blessed Mother was the most spotless human ever created on earth, (I am not speaking of divine nature like Jesus here just for the record)Why not?? Catholics believe she was sinless just like her son
if God was to send someone why would it not be her?
Is He unable???Does He need His mom to do it for Him??
The bible might not say I will send the Blessed Mother to warn you when the time is close, but He does preform God only miracles to prove which messages are truly from Him.
Or Satan preforms miracles to deceive ..and draw attention from Christ to His "mother"
It is because of His love of us that He sends His mother.
It is because of His love He sent Christ.. (remember John 3:16??)
I am sorry you dont believe these things, but they are true. We warn our own children everyday of the dangers of the world, why would He not warn His children of the dangers to our souls and tell us what to do about those said dangers.
Read the scriptures... they contain all the warning men need ...
AMEN
Why did I think we were having a discussion. I should have known better. Thanks but no thanks. It is pointless.
Have a great night :)
Yup.
As I expected when confronted with the facts.
Believe what you want.
For God so loved the world, He sent His only begotten SON, not His Son’s mother.
The Catholic church’s teachings HAVE changed over the last 2,000 years, and bailing on the discussion isn’t going to change that facts.
It just prevents you from confronting them.
And many of those councils contradicted previous ones..
They stumble over Jesus.
He is the stumbling stone indeed.
And they just can’t get past Mary, for whatever reason.
Yes..I believe the words of God..not men ..
Amen sister
