One of the sharpest shooters in basketball history.
He wasn’t the MVP.
as long as Lebum loses again and again, I’m chill..
Yes, Curry was the NBA MVP for the season. And as the article says, Andre Iguodala was the the Finals’ MVP. Maybe that’s what you were thinking of.
He is the son of Dell Curry, correct?
Good news indeed, a bit of light in these dark times.
Curry was the season’s MVP and Iggy was the Finals’ MVP — two separate awards.
Curry was MVP for the season and Iguodala for the championship.
RE: He wasnt the MVP.
He was, Not in the playoffs, but in the regular season.
Yup..you are right. Still had the Finals in my mind...and could not figure out how he didn’t get the Finals MVP.
I don’t know anything about basketball or Curry but he seems to be a decent kind of guy.....
The player for the second year in a row was the one most tasked with defending L.James sort of the nba’s way of saying regardless of who we give the award to we really mean that L.James is the best player.
Very true. I admire his courage, and I’m glad that he is now holding the championship trophy. God bless him!
There used to be a time when they handed out the MVP of the playoffs to the best player in the playoffs, not the best player of the eventual champs.
If I remember correctly, Jerry West of the Lakers won the finals MVP even when they lost to the Celtics.
Correct.
RE: He is the son of Dell Curry, correct?
Yes, his father was also a sharpshooter during his 16 years in the NBA.
The big differences that makes Stephen better — He can create his own shot, a much better ball handler and play maker.
In many ways, he has surpassed his dad.
So happy for Curry, seems like a good guy, strong faith in God, is an amazing talent, and is a good father, his little girl Riley is absolutely adorable
1. They stayed relatively healthy all season--very important since with only a 15-man roster, one critical injury can really hobble a team quite literally.
2. The Warriors avoided having to play the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs.
In short, one will wonder years from now what would have happened with a slightly different playoff seeding or more healthy opposition during the playoffs.
The Warriors defeated the Clippers on their way to the finals.
