I find it sad that the Archbishop felt he could not tell people how to vote. Speaking the truth is sometimes harsh, but it is his duty to do so. The Church in Ireland has failed young people 100%. They have taught the young that if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.
It was also stupid and wrong of Quinn to congratulate the homos as though it was just a soccer match and not the destruction of a nation.
If a church tells the people who to vote for, they lose their tax-free status.
Archbishops and any priest or the Pope can speak to issues, but they can not endorse candidates for this reason.
