The new policy is coming quicker than you can say Jack Robinson. In effect gay scout leaders are now permitted since Gates says he will not revoke the charter of troops that allow homosexuals leaders. 

Any parents who leave their sons in the Boy Scouts are insane. Homosexuals represent about 3% of the population; they commit about thirty percent of child sex abuse. Not every homosexual is an abuser, but those who are look for opportunities to be around children -- especially without the supervision of their parents. Check out this article:

My husband and I were camping last weekend in Gettysburg. Two scout troops were camping there as well with several dozen tents set up -- lots of young boys, an ephebophile's dream.

 Thirty-eight percent of children identifying as gay were victims of sex abuse. Homosexuals aren't born; they're made. There is no evidence of a "born that way" gene. It's all about recruitment and gay/straight alliance clubs, homosexual education, etc. are all opening children to perverted sexual experimentation. Our culture actively cooperates to train youngsters to be heterosexually and homosexually active or both. 

God made us male and female. Any claim otherwise is straight out of the mouth of the deceiver. Those who are same-sex attractive need our love, but they also need the truth about chastity. Hell is forever.

This 1% has been at war with the 99%. They have won with the liberal media that is probably 33-50% homosexual and this has been their agenda. Stealth victory.

They have the military, the TV stations, the schools, and a strangle hold on all politicians. They will not be happy until they have the Boy Scouts.

I would not allow my child to join the Boy Scouts if this becomes acceptable. It will be a magnet for the predators.

Gates will probably call for the Boy Scouts to “accept” pedophilia as “normal and natural”.

Meanwhile, the alternative to the homosexual boy scouts, Trail Life USA, is reporting 30,000 members as of January, and says they are gaining about 350 new members a month.

Yep. It was their foot in the door. Pure incrementalism. They knew they would try for scout leaders again. What better an organization to molest young boys which I thought has always been their end game. What other organization do you know where an adult male is allowed to be with other young male children out in the woods alone and away from their parents? You’re just asking for trouble. Gates needs to be investigated to determine what his true motives are. It does make you wonder.

At that level it is almost certainly money. Several big name corporations gave the Boy Scouts a bunch of money for a few years, then said they wouldn’t give any more unless they changed their policy on homosexuals.

This makes perfect sense to people like Gates, who understand big corporations and relate to them, not ordinary people. They always tell themselves that they can do “so much good” with all that money, but the truth is that it is a devil’s deal: sell your soul for wealth, but when the contract runs its course, you lose your soul.

Smiling experts assured us that we were merely throwing off the shackles of our repressed sexualities. Dissent is hate, and hate is not tolerated around here, mister, so shut up and get with the program. Well, I couldn’t get with the program, so I quit my public high school job. As a world history teacher, moving from a public school to a Christian academy (at less pay and fewer benefits) gave me a couple more years of insulation from the social wreckage cascading down.

I kept looking up for the big asteroid, but we didn’t need God to smite us from outer space. In the end, we smote ourselves with our hubris, believing that we were replacing God’s wisdom with our own. The proud decadence and in-your-face cultural perversions didn’t cause the Rupture, but they were surely flashing red signs warning that the end was near.

Besides child molesters, the scouts also have a single mom problem at least in my experience.

My son wanted to join a couple years ago because he naively thought the scouts did a lot of camping.

It turns out my son's troop was headed up by a lady and most of the parents were single moms. Needless to say, the majority of the scouting activities seemed to revolve around arts and crafts type things.

I think most of the single moms signed their sons up for the scouts because they wanted some sort of manly influence in their family. Not just for their sons but in their life too. The problem is that they turned the whole experience into something so lacking in testosterone that I could not stand to in the room with them more than five minutes. Tip for single ladies, if you want more stable men in your life, you should eat better, exercise, get more sleep, dress better and try projecting a cheerful attitude.

In any case, they only had one camping trip the entire year. It was actually sponsored by the council not our troop. I was the only one from our troop to show up so my son and I had to hang with another troop that was headed up by a guy that I knew.

We quit scouting the next week. This was around the time that they let gay scouts join. They all thought I quit because of the gay scout thing and tried to talk us into rejoining. Apparently, they lost a lot of families around that time but I bet the single moms are still there. My guess is the chance of a child getting molested skyrockets if one is raised by a single mom.

My other peeve with the scouts is the constant begging for money. How much money does it take to run a scout troop? The church donated the space and we had to pay extra for the uniform, books and everything. The local and national council appeared to act more like a multilevel marketing scheme than an organization for young men. They only showed up to talk about money, money, money. Apparently, like a two dollar trollop , they will do practically anything for money.
