The Lord has thus far taken very good care of us and I am sure he has plan for us.
Jesus I Trust in Thee.
Prayers up. Don’t be too discouaged. I got wacked from a defense contractor after 33 good years, then laid off 3 more times in the following year. Then one of the companies that laid me off after that year picked me up. That was 2 years ago and I almoat make the same salary, but the drive is much shorter. PTL!
Prayers up for you and your family. may God bless you with the strength you will need to get through this trying time.
Let us pray that behind all this is a plan for an even better opportunity for you.
Listen to all your options, get copies of all paperwork, signed up for any state benefits.
And get back in the fight asap.
Every day your job is to find your new job.
Very sorry to hear this - we’ve been there.

I have been in the same place myself. I know exactly how it is.
Prayers up.
I am sorry.
Keep moving forward.
That is the key.
Prayers offerred up for you and your family.
Might help if you shared what you did, a summary of your skills, what you’d like to do, and where you live.
Collect funemployment insurance until you can get a new job.
Hold out for a good job.
You will be OK.
I hope you find a better paying job, or one that you love more, or one that gives you more time at home...or all of these!
Still, I know it must be a nervous time around the dinner table.
As is often said; when God closes one door he opens another.
Prayers that that door is opened soon.
Prayers for you, my friend Jeff, and the rest of the people trying to take care of their families!
Don’t despair. Those of us working for others, particularly large corporations, are always on a knife-edge, and must realize we don’t have full control over our fates
I worked for a large corporation, and every time we had a new division head or underwent a reorganization, it was a game of musical chairs. Eventually, our division was sold, the music again ended, and I didn’t have a chair.
I signed on with a much smaller company, where I had the chance to become a partner/owner. It was risky, and a lot of effort, but it has worked out. I am basically my own boss now. I wouldn’t go back to the previous way for 3X my present income.
Stay positive
I was a career counselor and recruiter for many years. If you’d like to FReepmail me your resume I’ll take a look around.
I heard Tom DeLay speak recently and he said he thanked God everyday for the trials he was facing regarding his persecution by an out-of-control judicial system. He felt God was preparing him for another purpose.
Prayers that you will find God’s plans for you and that you find something better.
First WOW!
Thanks everyone for the instant prayers. I am overwhelmed.
I am on the train headed home posting from my phone and this keyboard is a bit slow.
I have been writing and fixing software, mostly VFP code for the last 20+years and before that bal assembly, if anyone remembers what that stuff is.
Still trying to get my head around it, I was busy every day but working from home I was never quite tapped into the grapevine so I just got blindsided.
