God bless them ping!
Good for them.
I think the “Day of Silence” is a great idea. Let’s extend it to the other 364 days.
They deserve some kind of "backbone award" too!
If only every day could be a “Day of Silence” for HomoNazi Fagtivists.
“Silencing effect?” What hogwash. Seems to me these people have the loudest voice among us these days. What a joke!
How about a Day of Prayer for Marriage at their school?
God bless them ping! >>
Ditto, and where was the principal and how could these parents support this while paying tuition to send their children to a Catholic school to learn Catholic values?
It doesn’t make sense.
What percent of the student body was engaging in the stupid stunt? The admin should have been on top of the problem. No tolerance allowed towards students not obeying the school’s directives. Nuns shouldn’t be leaving the school. Expelled students should be leaving.
Yippee!
Jesus said: If they don’t receive our Gospel, leave and knock the dust off your shoes.
Sad. In my day, it wouldn’t have been the nuns who would “have gone home.”
How ironic that they call it a day of silence when they never shut the heck up.
Agreed!
Fortunately they weren't located in the Archdioceses of Washington or New York. Both Wurel and Dolan are know to punish religious if they act too orthodox.
Some "day of silence."
The atmosphere was one of tension and division. All the Sisters felt compromised, offended, and uncomfortable.
Might they have, additionally, felt determined to teach their classes to any students who showed up ready to learn?
“The Day of Silence is a nationwide event sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, or GLSEN.”
Because the most important issue on the face of the Earth is how people engage in sex.
These people are pathetic.
A good day to schedule an oral final exam.
On Friday morning, some students were passing out materials promoting GLSENs Day of Silence, the sisters said. Students were pressured to accept flyers/stickers representing a mission contrary to Catholicism, the sisters email stated. Some students told us that when they declined the stickers, they were yelled at and openly criticized. The atmosphere was one of tension and division. All the Sisters felt compromised, offended, and uncomfortable.
Next the Homosexual activists will have an everyone be homosexual day in Catholic schools where in order to show one is not homohobic one has to have same sex intimacies for a day.
Another example of how those who were whining about allegations of being bullied were in fact bullies themselves.
