Although he thinks marriage should be between a man and a woman, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio says he would attend a same-sex wedding of a family member or friend to show his support for someone he cares about.
Rubio was interviewed Wednesday by Fusion's Jorge Ramos, who asked the Republican presidential candidate whether he would attend the wedding of a gay friend or co-worker if invited.
"If there's somebody that I love that's in my life, I don't necessarily have to agree with their decisions, or the decisions they've made, to continue to love them and participate in important events," Rubio answered.
The situation would be much like attending the wedding of a person who was previously divorced, which also is prohibited by his Catholic faith, he explained.
"If it's somebody in my life that I care for, of course I would" attend their wedding, Rubio said. "I'm not going to hurt them simply because I disagree with a choice they've made or because I disagree with a decision they've made, or whatever it may be."

I am a PRACTICING Catholic. A devout Catholic. Your obsession with John Kennedy and the cafeteria catholics of the world is your problem. If you want to change them, why not convert and have a go at it. You seem to have all the answers. I do not attack the Catholic faith. I tell others what it means to be a Catholic, how one is to conduct themselves according to the faith. A lot are ignorant of their faith. If you can’t comprehend that, and you can’t because you’re not a Catholic, that is your problem and no one else’s. When other Catholics on this board, that I respect because I know they are living the faith from their postings, start telling me I don’t what I’m talking about I’ll start worrying. I am a PRACTICING conservative, you won’t find me defending liberal icons like the Kennedys, regardless of what denomination they belong to.
Most Catholics are democrat voters, and most Catholic politicians are naturally democrat, but Rubio isn’t, and for a Catholic, is very conservative, by that standard.

I will give you that Vatican II and its popes have made Catholics think that this is AOK. They have even encouraged it.

Never said I had any such authority. Why is it that you even care whether Rubio is Catholic or not?
If you know that you don’t have any authority over his church membership, then quit being obsessed with it and trying to convince people of a falsehood.
We know what church denomination that senator and presidential candidate Rubio, belongs to.
If bios of our candidates cause such a weird reaction in you, perhaps politics isn’t your thing.

Repeated for emphasis. This is exactly correct. Agree or disagree with Rubio, the question is entirely irrelevant to his qualifications to serve as President.
