On the rapid growth of this movement.

**The message seems to be this: “Comply quickly or experience condemnation, possible legal action, and/or being labeled unkind, intolerant, and ‘homophobic’.”**

Read the answers to the scenario, if nothing else.....it looks at the responsibility of each situation.

Should one be "ministered unto" because of ones particular proclivity be it rape, or pedaphelia, or beastiality ... all of which is condemned by the scriptures as well as the Catholic church ?
And yet sodomy must be ministered to ?
THAT'S why non Catholics argue ...


A sodomite once attended our independent, fundamental Baptist service .... once ... it never returned
We knew nothing until later that it had been invited but was not comfortable under sin preaching ... it never returned

I still don’t understand why anyone who clearly does not agree with the beliefs of a faith would want to have their child baptized in said faith.

If you are a sinner, but make no moves to repent from your sinful behavior, and have no intentions to do so, I think its totally proper for a priest/pastor to question your motives.

The more foolish churches are caving on this point, due to some misguided sense of sympathy. “It’s not fair” is the rallying cry of those who insist they be allowed to “marry” the people they “love”. Well, God ordained the principle, so if someone doesn’t think it is fair, then they don’t have a basic faith in God, so why are they trying to join our churches in the first place?

The only conclusion I can make is that those homosexuals who insist that churches need to accommodate them are only interested in subverting the churches and nothing more.

Read the first chapter of Romans and you’ll find the “IT” well addressed. Be sure to read further, though, to find out about the rest of those people left in your church after “IT” had left.

Sure. If "minister unto" means "minister unto salvation," then the ministry anybody receives should be geared to their separation from sin and their progress in their walk with the Lord.

If my major malfunction is wrath --- irascibility --- maybe I should be ministered unto via "anger management" and some kind of guidance in avoiding anger-triggers.

If my habitual sin is unemployment resulting from sloth, I should be ministered to in a strong admonition to get off my butt and get those job applications made.

If my habitual sin is drunkenness, maybe I need to be ministered to via a 12-step group like A.A.

Everyone needs to be ministered to --- told the truth, and given a helping hand --- in their area of greatest failure.

A little history on sodomy laws:

The very first Buggery Law was passed by Henry VIIIs Parliament in 1533. The law was written by Thomas Cromwell. It was written precisely so that if they could find any "wayward" monks they could be disposed of quickly. The law made sodomy a capital offense resulting in execution. Problem was they found no such monks. Until the law was written sodomy was considered a spiritual matter and not a civil issue.

Subversion is indeed the reason the gays are challenging churches. For that matter, I have never heard the subject of homosexuality addressed from a pulpit. You would think from all the coverage that preachers are preaching hell and damnation to the gays from every pulpit in the nation. Not true. The gays brought the whole subject up by challenging churches on doctrinal matters.

we are to give the gospel message to everyone, IF they will NOT receive it, we are to shake the dust off our shoes and move on, never to return

“If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.”

“Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.”

There is NOTHING about loving them and continuing to ‘minister to them’ in the hopes that someday they will ‘see the light’ and become saved These people are enemies of God- Period!

That sums it up. Why would anyone be motivated to attend a liberal church that caves on this point? Bible believing Christians have no interest in them and why would a liberal want to invest time and money in an organization that teaches what already gets anyway for free from the left wing media 24/7?
