Why even have a “Catholic” school then?

It’s worth pointing out that, within the RC clergy and ESPECIALLY within lay people who take the time and make the committment to work as DREs and catechists that there is a burning spirit of rebellion against the teachings of the Church, especially on sexual and life issues (which, at the root, are the same issue).

Yes, I know that you must rely on CCC and the documents of councils to know what the RCC REALLY teaches. But out in the field - at BC, at Notre Dame and Georgetown, in CCD, in RCIA, in many homilies, and especially for those in contact with consecrated non-cloistered religious women - well, if tha’s what you know about Catholicism, then what you know is it’s a bunch of patriarchal sexist garbage heading for the scrap heap.

Bet they could show Muslims beheading infidels and shout "Death to America" in an Islamic school classroom with no problem, though.

Prayers for Patricia Jannuzzi, a religion teacher at Immaculata High School in the Diocese of Metuchen and also that her Bishop may change his mind.

Not to go too far off topic, which is very important, but for those who may not know G. K. Chesterton lived from 1874-1936. He recognized even as far back as then that paganism was reviving in the West, especially in his beloved England.

And look at Great Britain today. Few go to any Christian church, the Anglican Church has become a dead shell of its former self, and Muslims are increasingly dominating in large areas of the country.

America beware!
