Popular American evangelist Joel Osteen is promoting the warrior mentality among Christians, telling them not to be weighed down by their problems because all things are possible with Christ.
"If you'll have this warrior mentality and do what you can do, God will help you do what you cannot do. Remember, God has armed you with strength for every battle. Keep praying, keep believing, keep pressing through because with God, you will tap into strength you didn't know you had!" he said.

Is this your religious tribe?
I know he’s never said that. that’s the /s

Yes she is!
Not exactly the typical parson’s wife.

>> “IOW, you believe in collective guilt.” <<
We have nothing collectively.
We stand alone and naked before God.
.
.
>> “Let go and let God” <<
.
Meaningless slogan.

all the arms in the world are useless if you never use them.
We have enough non muslim terrorists in our own Country causing hell and I don’t see anyone taking them on. The men of yesteryear are different then most men today.
you are correct. But without physical hands on force/action, you, me and our families won’t last long in the future. All the praying in the world without brutal, tough action won’t stop the bad guys from killing and raping, here or overseas.
Yes we are tainted with evil due to what our ancestors did.
No, I don't see us as being accountable for our ancestors' actions.
We are accountable for our own, but we have inherited what they've given us, good and bad, so to that degree you might say we are accountable.
You might say we were set up.
And yes, it does make sense from a certain point of view, given our inheritance from the first parents and what all have done since to saturate this world with sin.
It's hard for us to find, let alone stay on, the Path of Virtues in this world.
OK, then do you accept the following?
"You are the light of the world."
"It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom."
Do you accept that we are the image and likeness of God? Do you think that is an actual physical image and likeness? (I'm fond of Voltaire's remark, "God created man in His image and likeness and man promptly returned the favor.")
"I have said, ye shall be as Gods."
Not at all. It means that God is at work and your job is to stop trying to force things and let God do it. Those things that we cannot do of our own effort, we turn over to God. We let go and let God.
Simple. I don’t believe that we inherit the actions, consequences, and responsibilities of others. We inherit their “stuff” (such as my dad’s car, which I now own), but not their lives or their actions or the consequences of their actions.
If your father commits a crime and dies before his sentence is complete, should you be forced to finish it out? That’s the “logic” of “original sin”.
So show me the basis in Scripture.
There is something wrong with a mansion? You have a problem with people being prosperous and abundant?
Exactly!
What we focus on expands in our awareness and in our lives. Focus on the light, not the tunnel. Focus on the silver lining, not the cloud.
Many ministers have books, and all ministries run on donations.
Not changing the subject at all. You said you “believe what Scripture teaches.” So I was asking you about specific Biblical points. Do you believe those? yes or no?
Probably not. So?
BTW, she's a minister herself, I believe.
Not really. Carnally man can not understand the concept. It's a spiritual reality not a carnal one. The spiritual affects the carnal propensity.
I did say that, but the topic at hand was original sin, so let’s focus in on that rather than changing the subject.
