What is it about quoting Scripture that you think implies tradition shouldn’t be in line with Scripture?

Yes, but those traditions have to be inline with scripture.

And they were, according to the authority of the Messiah, and to those Apostles to whom he gave the power to bind and loose, and the keys of the kingdom of heaven. They have the authority to interpret the scriptures, to teach by word, by tradition, and lay hands on men to appoint bishops. They, in cooperation with the Comforter that Messiah promised, determine whether a tradition conforms to the scriptures. An individual can believe, or believe not.
