Since we're changing subjects instead of starting a new vanity topic to ask such things,

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck would chuck wood?

It’s not changing the subject - the subject is how to understand God’s will and achieve salvation through through accepting Christ.

I never saw a catholic church growing up - yet I believed in Christ and read my bible - does that preclude my being saved? I have met people throughout the world that have never had a catholic or king james bible - does that preclude they can be saved?

In other words - is ignorance of the Bible or tradition or any combination or of specific pieces of either (ignorance being a lack of knowledge) - sufficient to doom someone to eternal hell?

If you think everyone has an opportunity to be exposed to the Word during their life in the forms that your used to - I’m afraid your mistaken.

But I kinda think my God is bigger and more powerful than anything I can hope to comprehend and that he’s got that figured out.

Adam died - did he go to Heaven? Why because there wasn’t a Bible or a church? Because there wasn’t a priest to confess to? Because he didn’t have a Hebronic (sp?) covenant?

How about Moses? How about the Japanese in the 1600s - that translation needed some work let me tell ya. All of em or just the ones that didn’t step on the picture of Christ?

This miniscule back and forth over a particular tradition or wording of a verse or whatever - all of which have been touched by the polluted hand of man misses a lot. I believe a man raised by God to life and never exposed to Christianity can be saved - because God communes with us if we listen and have faith.

I’m aware of the verse saying only through me. Christ is God so therefore when God communes and we listen - it’s through him.

Don’t get me wrong - I read the good book, but this continual sniping between Christian factions irritates me something fierce.
