Egyptian Christians have seen notable gains under the government of President Abd al-Sisi, the spokesman for the countrys bishops tells the AsiaNews service.
Father Rafic Greiche pointed to three new building permits for Catholic churches. He reported that permits for Christian churches were never granted during the rule of former President Hosni Mubarak, nor under the government that followed him, which was dominated by Islamic fundamentalists.
Some applications for permits to build churches date back more than a decade, Father Greiche said.

Bambi’s not gonna like that!
I’m glad to see Egypt moving in a positive direction, in spite of Obama trying to help the Muslim Brotherhood take over Egypt again!
Look for Obama to impose STRICT new sanctions on Egypt.
I am not even slightly kidding.
Good News! They need to re-build the ones who were burned first!
Great news.
It used to be that you needed permission from the President of Egypt even to repair a church, or even to repaint the inside of it.
And such permissions were very hard to get, owing to islamic opposition.
Maybe I will get to see the Pyramids one of these days.
“in spite of Obama trying to help the Muslim Brotherhood take over Egypt again”
Incredible isn’t it? Look at any disaster in the world and you’ll see Obama’s fingerprints all over it. Hundreds of thousands and counting have died because of this idiot and his foreign policy.
Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. Wow....great news.
An actual change for good in Egypt.
This guy Al-Sisi seems to be OK, maybe more than OK.
I give the Egyptians credit, they foolishly put the Muslim Brotherhood in there and then they said “oh hell no, did we screw up!” and got them the heck of out there.
If only Americans had had that much brains re: Obama’s re-election.
Bet that makes odumbo madder than hell. Just think, CHRISTIAN churches in Egypt where odumbo wanted the Muzzie Brotherhood in control. I applaud the Egyptian gubmint.
In the post-Morsi era, then-Gen al Sisi (now Egyptian president) refused to take Obama's phone call---b/c al Sisi knew Obama wanted al Sisi to leave the M/B alone.
Brilliant strategist, al Sisi, proceeded to smash the M/B and throw them out of Egyptian politics....he vowed to rebuild the 65 Christian churches the M/B had torched.
=============================================
It should be remembered that while Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood were in charge in Egypt, Obama and Hillary showered them with praise and provided billions of dollars in US monetary aid, US arms, US tanks and US planes.
Egypt has unceremoniously thrown the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.... and hasnt forgotten the support offered to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egypt has now charged Obama and Hillary Clinton for conspiring and collaborating with the M/B and advancing their terrorist activities.
Bill and Hillary's former employee, Gehad (means jihad in Farsi) al Haddad, is also sitting in an Egyptian jail (reported by H/T Western Journalism). Haddad was conducting terrorist activities while employed at the tax-exempt "Clinton Foundation."
It makes sense. If Christians aren’t allowed to keep up their population, the Muslims wouldn’t have them to rape, plunder, brutalize and burn come the next uprising. When Christians are allowed to build new church buildings, they assure that they will be easy to find when terror time comes again.
Egypt court sentences 183 Muslim Brotherhood supporters to death

Satan just organizing a way for Christians to have a place where many of them are in one place?
Thanks for the good news ping.
