We should adore, honor and respect Jesus for being so humble and doing the will of the Father, and we honor and respect Mary and Joseph for following the will of God and raising Jesus so that we could save us from our sins. That I don't disagree with. But to proclaim Mary as "co-redeptrix", kneeling before her, saying prayers to her, etc., is quite another matter.

>> I was making the simple point that the Bible does not tell us that the apostles were not at the crucifixion<<
Why do now twist the words? Were you hoping by not pinging me I wouldn't see it? I said "they were not on the cross with Jesus" and were not drinking that "cup" of wine. Here is your statement from post 903.
>>"Tell me the exact Bible text that says that the apostles were not with Christ on the cross, as you claim in your post.<<
Now you change it to at the cross?
>>If you believe I am wrong about that, then I'll be happy to make you a friendly public wager right here and now.<<
I have just shown how you were wrong in your statements. Pay up buddy.

Emily is the mother of Sam.
Sam is a fireman.
Therefore,
Emily is the mother of a fireman. That doesn't make Emily a fireman nor does it give her the skills or ability to fight fires.
Analogies never work.

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.
Then you should believe in the words of Jesus: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you
Apparently, belief can be selective, and one can ignore the words of Jesus that they don’t agree with.

Problem is that the original statement had to do with on the cross, not at the cross. There was a nice twist of words going on there.

LOL😄 well, you can keep it in the garage, so it is close enough, in case it looks like I might be developing a desire to swim 😇

Apparently, belief can be selective, and one can ignore the words of Jesus that they dont agree with.It looks like you disagree with many of the words of Jesus. Don't eat blood. We are not discussing brain surgery here. Either God meant don't eat blood or He didn't. MamaB, do they care what is written.

No it doesn't. Protestant ability to do that ended in Luthers time when they ran out of Catholic Bishops who had the authority and lineage to ordain priests. There is absolutely no Scriptural basis for that statement.
