“Once Saved Always Saved” is nowhere to be found in the scriptures. It is the most egregious blasphemy ever spoken.
No one is saved yet, while many are on his narrow path, salvation comes when he gathers us at the last trump, and only those that have remained in faith will be gathered.
The apostles have all stated this plainly, but there are those among us that love to twist Paul's long ramblings into something that they simply do not say.
Read Paul's epistle to the Hebrew dispersion, particularly chapter 6, to see that this OSAS nonsense is Satan's finest propaganda.
Hebrews 6:
[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
[2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
[3] And this will we do, if God permit.
[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
[7] For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
[8] But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
[9] But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
[10] For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
[11] And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
[12] That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
[13] For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
[14] Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
[15] And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
.
If Abraham had to patiently endure, who are these slackards to declare that they need not?
.
Keep in mind I’m not the one pushing “Once saved, always saved”.

If you believe this, then there is no possibility of regaining salvation after you have "lost" it.
No amount of forgiveness, no hail mary's, no absolution, nothing can get you "back" in.
If Abraham had to patiently endure, who are these slackards to declare that they need not?
So now we get to your real point. It's all about the works of man that gets you into Heaven.
How many do you have to do? I want a number. There has to be a minimum.
How do you know you've done the right ones? There has to be a list somewhere of the right ones to do.
Are you sure you believe this??
HMMMmmm...
1 John 2:12I guess having your SINS FORGIVEN is NOT the same as SALVATION to a Catholic.
I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
1. I do believe that for most, it DOES wind up being "once saved, always saved..."... but I don't believe that is automatically so ... hence, the passage you cite from Hebrews 6...
2. IoW, I disagree with those who say a person can't lose their salvation (Hebrews 6 & other passages indicate otherwise)
3. Re: your statement, "No one is saved yet..." Elsie isn't taking any verse out of context...In fact, it seems you deliberately ignore the apostle John:
* Jesus (via the apostle John) defines eternal life as a relationship with HIM, the real God: 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3)
(that relationship doesn't simply begin once you die)
For further emphasis, see how John frequently cites "eternal life" as a present possession -- "has" and "have" -- NOT "will have":
* "36 Whoever believes in the Son HAS eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for Gods wrath remains on them." (John 3)
* 24 Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me HAS eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." (John 5)
* 47 "Very truly I tell you, the one who believes HAS eternal life." (John 6)
* Therefore, John wraps this up in 1 John 5:
11 And this is the testimony: God HAS given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son HAS life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you HAVE eternal life.
I suppose, E-S, you will now have to scissor all these verses out of your Bible as being inconsistent with what you believe.
