From Psalm 92: It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to You, Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, To show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,…For behold, Your adversaries, O Lord, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered.

We pray today for the members of the body of Christ that serve us in the Armed Forces and in positions of leadership and authority in Governmental positions around our Nation. Let their horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) be exalted like that of a wild ox; anoint them with fresh oil.

Cause them to flourish like the palm tree; to be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful; to grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. We declare that, growing in grace they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and spiritual vitality and rich in the verdure of trust, love, and contentment.

We want the world to see that they are living memorials to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises, so bless them, Father, with Your fullness of redemption from every curse. Hide them safely under the shadow of Your wings and give them the words when they are asked to give an answer to every man that asks them a reason for the hope that is in them.

You are our Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in You. Thank You for hearing our prayers in Jesus' most precious and mighty name. Amen.
